Neither was never “panned”. Positions is still an acclaimed Grammy nominated album, it just didn’t have universal acclaim and was in the shadow of TUN. It was only “panned” on Atrl lol.

such a good song just heard it out recently and realized how it’s better than 95% of anything that’s come out since

Still on repeat after 2 years. And to think I called the song boring on first listen 

I fell like this song doesn’t get the respect it deserves. It’s so perfect.

it's a great song. i found it boring on the first few listens, but it really grows on you.

It’s not really a pop-trap song to me, more pop with contemporary r&b influence
