I doubt either song would come across nearly as well without the unique vocal delivery she’s brought to each one, otherwise she’s the clear creative driver in the pairing

And I agree with the majority's sentiment. Billie is obviously the bigger artistic and creative drive behind her work between the two of them. Though FINNEAS is a very talented and versatile producer as well, and should get his credit (which he does).

It's absolutely crystal clear that Billie is the creative mastermind behind her music, they make a great duo, sure, but comparing their discographies to each other the difference is gigantic. As pointed out by variety too in an article they posted recently 'Their collaborations contain more unique chords, more inversion, more seventh chords and more chromaticism. Whilst Finneas has indeed stepped into his own as a solo artist, he seems to shine brightest when songwriting and producing alongside his superstar sister. Our analysis clearly reinforces her broad contribution to their partnership.', there are a lot of great points in there btw.

 

Even Finneas HIMSELF said that Billie is the main driving force behind her own music, so stop trying to look for weird and stupid reasons to discredit her.

People saying "they are NOT a duo" and then describing a DUO that can't exist as a lone person.

 

The argument that Finneas' work does poorly on its own is weak because him needing her as a face to sell the work does not mean she can exist on her own and create on her own: it's clear she cannot. 

 

She contributes to her music in the same way someone who orders a pizza contributes heavily to its creation: they pressed buttons on the phone and asked for toppings to be changed, all by themselves
