Honest question here since I'm actually rooting for Gaga to do well and I'm thoroughly sick of OneRepublic after hearing all of their generic mind-numbingly boring sellout pop at my grocery store job. But I'm seeing the chart predictions and I Ain't Worried is supposed to be up to #44 while Hold My Hand is just falling...

 

GaGa's last year end hit was 2020. OneRepublic's last year end hit was 2014. That band has underperformed for awhile. 

 

Yet somehow they are now about to outdo Gaga from the Top Gun soundtrack. So seriously, what the hell is going on? This should be Gaga's moment since she actually wants to do something interesting, not their's with their typical HAC vomit.

OR's was played in the iconic/tradition volleyball scene... Gaga's almost an end credit song. Do the math.

One Republic's is a fun catchy song while Gaga's is grating and try hard. One of the worst songs of 2022

Hold My Hand is also in the first third of the movie. Then elements of the instrumental play throughout the film. There’s a ton of build up to the song playing at the end.

It’s an awful song and most stans admit that.  The film version is significantly better though. 

Gaga is 1 woman, whereas OneRepublic are 5 men. Do the math

That Gaga song is heinous so no wonder it bombed.

Haven't heard one Republics' but Gaga's is not good. Honestly it doing way better than I expected but I guess the film is so massive it makes sense that its not a complete flop. 

OR has da better song and doesn't have da pressure of competeing with Take My Breath Away
