I’m pretty sure Montero would wear this label with a badge of honor. In fact, he said it himself on Twitter during Old Town Road. Black gay excellence and desperate. I don’t know why the girls get so incensed.

Lana and Selena & Nicki for sure.

Lana and selena couldn't care less wtf

Lady Gaga for sure. She’s desperate for success and that’s kind of why she’s so successful, she’s got that classic Hollywood star persona of desperately chasing success while the sun still shines on her like Marilyn Monroe, Madonna and other legends before her. Like she doesn’t need to be desperate because she’s so talented but it’s just part of who she is, it’s her drive. She’s already shown she’ll ensure she has a lifetime of success by doing everything she can for her career.

I wish more pop girls were as committed to their careers as she is. Though I respect their reasons for not being that way.

There’s a difference between being naturally provocative VERSUS desperate.

I can assure you Demi does not care about charts, success, or radio. They made a soulful ballad (DWTD) about the substances they used explicitly a lead single. They made the very simple piano ballad Anyone about their overdose their comeback single (without radio or music video release).

They released a collab w Sam Fischer and made it a single, none of the other collabs on dwtdtaoso were singles despite being more relevant artists.

They are collabing w Royal and the Serpents, and Dead Sara on their next album Holy ****.

Demis label AND close friends begged Demi to do the CFTS dance on tiktok and Demi refused. They ended up doing a simple tiktok w the audio but refused to do the dance that went viral: they do not care. They appreciate when their music gets appreciated and blows up, but they no longer actively seek that out.

They announced a tour and album BEFORE LEAD SINGLE IS EVEN OUT. That’s unheard of these days. Most people wait to get a hit before moving ahead with an album.

In conclusion: Demi Lovato does not care and genuinely makes music to express their personal experiences and for the artistry of the sounds they create.

Also friendly reminder an artist versus an artists team does NOT always correlate. Some artists are passive regarding releases and what a management team is attempting… you can tell who is desperate based on who cares excessively about their image.

You understand that that’s done by Demi’s team and Demi is very uninvolved when it comes to stuff like that, just follows along . Also it’s a creative direction lol. All the artwork is stunning.

PLS demi made an album title a curse word, and prior to that had 2 long ass titles as an album title… artistry for demi is everything. Haters can keep blabbing.

Was this essay necessary lol

demi is desperate for attention. She’s a Leo

Why should she? If you think she's going to pass the torch to someone less worthy, you're sadly mistaken. :rip:

The correct answer is obviously the one who was vomited on, and anyone who says otherwise are lying to themselves. lol

I mean the OP sums Madonna up personally. The way she jumped on Dua when she was hot, yet elton walked away with the global smash

Well Kate Bush is a legend and there's one artisté who clinges to legends all the time

Firstly, Madonna didn't jump on her, it was the other way around, and secondly what's said by the OP also applies to certain ladies who have a habit of jumping on all the legends (Including the ones with one foot in the grave). :coffee:
