Most desperate artists?

Who do you think is currently writing a song about/referencing/sampling Kate Bush, considering or calling Kate Bush for a collab, or remixing one of her songs right now?

I'm waiting for THAT one comment from someone on social media telling us she's loved KB ever since she was 4 years old. We know it's coming, just like we know who I'm referring to. :rip:

demi lovato

There’s a difference between being naturally provocative VERSUS desperate.

I can assure you Demi does not care about charts, success, or radio. They made a soulful ballad (DWTD) about the substances they used explicitly a lead single. They made the very simple piano ballad Anyone about their overdose their comeback single (without radio or music video release).

They released a collab w Sam Fischer and made it a single, none of the other collabs on dwtdtaoso were singles despite being more relevant artists.

They are collabing w Royal and the Serpents, and Dead Sara on their next album Holy ****.

Demis label AND close friends begged Demi to do the CFTS dance on tiktok and Demi refused. They ended up doing a simple tiktok w the audio but refused to do the dance that went viral: they do not care. They appreciate when their music gets appreciated and blows up, but they no longer actively seek that out.

They announced a tour and album BEFORE LEAD SINGLE IS EVEN OUT. That’s unheard of these days. Most people wait to get a hit before moving ahead with an album.

In conclusion: Demi Lovato does not care and genuinely makes music to express their personal experiences and for the artistry of the sounds they create.

Beyonce. She always hops on trendy song to get that quick little hit that she can't get anymore solo.

Her team must be desperately trying to get that Kate Bush duet.

Also friendly reminder an artist versus an artists team does NOT always correlate. Some artists are passive regarding releases and what a management team is attempting… you can tell who is desperate based on who cares excessively about their image.

Lil Nas X

Olivia

BTS

Nicki Minaj

Jason Derulo

Charlie Puth

Ed Sheeran

Halsey. The fact that she bashed the Grammys and then apologized just so her album had a chance of winning one was absolutely pathetic. Lost all respect for her after that. She acts like such a martyr. The whole “my label won’t let me realize my single” story is also complete Bull.

Lizzo, more recently. After rumors flopped, she’s been pandering to gen z with songs made for Tik tok, reposting the same dance of herself like 20 times. Like we get it girl, you’re desperate for a hit.

Lil Nas comes off as a bit desperate. Always trying to be edgy and controversial for a hit.
Like we get it, you’re gay. Cool.

All of this nonsense to defend an artist who very clearly is desperate :deadbanana2:

Lady Gaga during the fame era

Demi Lovato for literally everything she does or says

Normani showing her anus on camera for attention

Probably Billie Eilish. Pretending to be talented, most likely pretending to have synesthesia, claiming to be influenced by KB and quoting a lyric would be next NrD2Xko.png

You understand that that’s done by Demi’s team and Demi is very uninvolved when it comes to stuff like that, just follows along . Also it’s a creative direction lol. All the artwork is stunning.

PLS demi made an album title a curse word, and prior to that had 2 long ass titles as an album title… artistry for demi is everything. Haters can keep blabbing.

Billie Eilish; we get it you’re artsy

Lil Nas X; we get it you’re an edgelord

Halsey; we get it you’re not like the other girls (though I love her music)
