These two late 80's and early 90's pop princesses have experienced a bit of a career resurgence in the past 5 years, with their old hits being featured in movies & tv shows and covered by more currently relevant artists. Who reigns supreme?

Debbie had a better career but Tiffany is a better singer by miles. 

I prefer Tiffany's albums overall, but Debbie has some impressive credentials. Honestly, I adore both women.

 

 

Debbie was my MPG in the 80s. Adored her.

Debbie. I couldn't stand Tiffany or her music. 

Tiffany is boring and might as well be a one hit wonder. I know she has 3 top 10s in addition to I Think We're Alone Now. The only other one that stands out to me is All This Time, but ITWAN is the only one that still gets referenced these days. 

 

Debbie's songs are more individually memorable and distinctive. It's kinda insulting to Debbie that they were so often compared to each other because Debbie wrote all her own songs, had better music videos, did choreo, had her own perfume, several brand endorsements, more accolades, Broadway, etc. 

 

Plus, Debbie and her mother were hustlers who really knew how to package Debbie (and I still think she does a great job at it today) whereas Tiffany seems lazy and basic. 

Tiffany for all, her second album is really good but once Kylie Minogue came to the scene, it was OVER for both Tiff and Debbie

 

Cuban excellence Martika outsold both tho

i prefer debbie's music and that's that on that. tiffany has some cute bops tho

Actually I have heard I Think We’re Alone Now but I didn’t know it was Tiffany. Don’t know who Debbie Gibson is tbh
