I dont think its just her label. I think she’s a perfectionist to the point its 100% ******* her career, shes losing all her chances. The way she uses social media give that felling and i still remember shes like “oh motivation is nice but the dance is not my best” RIGHT after releasing like girl chill

this makes sense.

 

I also think she's a perfectionist in the sales sense too. she doesn't want to release an album unless she knows it's going #1 and has hit singles. she's extremely afraid of 'flopping'. but the thing is, you need to start from somewhere. if she wants a successful music career, she needs to work her way up. she cant be afraid of not being commercially successful. just release music for your fans!

I’m gonna use my fav as an example:

 

She should’ve done what Rosalia did and just release the album and get the acclaim. Rosalia worked on that album for 3 years and the pandemic made her delay it. The 2 singles she released before Motomami kinda flopped and she got dragged for one of them but once the album came out she got critical acclaim and now she has a big world tour coming up. 
 

and she’s already released 6 videos from the album. 
 

in my opinion, this is what Normani should’ve done. Just keep releasing [GOOD] music and stunning visuals. She needs to build a solid fan base first but it seems like she and her label are so scared to release any material because they want her to be BEYONCÉ level of big from the get go and that is just unrealistic. You have to put in the work and hussle. 

Her latest single flopped hard so she probably scrapped the album 

 

Someone in her team should give her the reality check that she's not the girl she think she is 

It seems like she doesn't know which direction to take when it comes to her music.

 

She came strong with Wild Side and then released months later a soulless mid-tempo song as a follow-up that no1 cared about, unsurprisingly.

Not to sound flippant, but for a forum of pop music stans, y’all really exaggerate the amount of autonomy someone like Normani has over her career. 
 

We’ve seen too many girls struggle with their labels for people to pretend like Normani’s destiny is firmly in her hands. Do y’all really think she doesn’t know it’s been years since she was supposed to “debut” and that her chances of success decrease by the day? 
 

It’s not a coincidence that none of 4H has a full album out. You don’t go from being secondary characters in a girl group that formed on a reality show that only had 2 top 20 hits, to being someone a label gives sizable creative or logistical control to. If the label wanted to lock her in the studio and have her sing 12 pop tracks and release them, they would have done it by now.
 

Hell, even someone like Camila who is given opportunities to throw stuff at the wall until something sticks seems like she’s in hot water.
