Both of these were iconic #2 hits in 2005 from their debut eras.

Pon De Replay was blocked by Mariah's We Belong Together while 1 2 Step was blocked my Mario's Let Me Love You.

Which one do you prefer?

Both are bops but I go tf off every time I hear 1, 2 Step. Every time they play it at work me and my coworkers be doing the 1, 2 step lmao

Also Riri might have more of a celeb status than Cici nowadays but 1, 2 Step is definitely more iconic than PDR imo as its one of the songs that you can't skip over when talking about the 00s while Riri has way better contenders for her 00s reign.

Middle school dance hits. ? nah but for real these will always be Diamond on my IPod classic? Pon Dey is just slightly better tho

1,2 Step.

RIhanna is one of my favorite artists.... but C

Automatic, supersonic, hypnotic, funky fresh
Work my body, so melodic
This beat flows right through my chest
Everybody, Ma and Papi came to party
Grab somebody, work your body, work your body
Let me see you 1, 2 step

Both are iconic.

Rihanna was brave on twitter

ot: 12step

1, 2 Step has aged better but that's not saying much.

1, 2 Step easily for all 3.

There are a lot of Rihanna songs that I love but Pon De Replay is not one of them.

1,2 Step is a classic. The R&B pop vibes it gives, the Missy Elliot rap, and everything about the song is so mid 2000s in the best way possible. Pon De Replay aged better as a song, but I like 1,2 Step better

Can’t choose, both classics that defined my childhood

What a great time it was to be a teenager!

Pon De Replay

Pon de Replay all the way.. the song I first loved of rihanna like it was love at first sight and been a navy ever since so ofcourse that song will always be in my heart
