This event raises money for the Metropolitan museum of art costume institute. Half the fun of going there is to wear exaggerated outfits. Otherwise it would be just like any other fashion event. Sounds like he just bored and should stop going if he hates it.

And we have Katy's #1 defending fanbase to her rescue. "This man" is an absolute legend in the fashion industry and even a highly acclaimed film director. 

 

 

 

That said, in this case he is wrong. The Met Gala about outlandish themes and trying to do them justice, it's ok to be outrageous.
