i think that's far to say because they can't and don't compare. shakira is in her 4th decade of doing this. let's see where karol g is at in the point of her career. i just that these 2 should collaborate properly and officially. shakira needs to switch it up by linking up with other females whether it's them on her tracks or her on theirs. also karol is good for a good bop here and there but i don't see karol ever delivering the type of artistry depth that shakira's earlier works explored before she became more commercial. nonetheless these 2 colombian queens need to link up properly.

No disagreement with you there! I was merely comparing their last two singles, but if you take their entire careers into regard, Shakira is a legend and Karol G could learn a lot from her to have the same longevity and artistry. For that reason, they should definitely properly collaborate... one generation of Colombian queens to another, they could really do a lot for each other.

Wishing her a lot of success that song is very good! What do you think about the change on her sound? I mean now the song is like a mix of Dancehall + Electropop

it's very welcomed. reggaeton became very oversaturated and basic. latin pop making a comeback is a breath of fresh air because it's causing artists to be more experimental with their sounds which is very much welcomed.

The way I’m only hearing this for the first time 2 weeks after it’s release 

 

I’m only a casual fan of Karol G (because I don’t speak Spanish) and this is a whole new sound for her. I really like this! It’s so chill compared to her usual uptempo bops. I’m glad more of the reggaeton artists are starting to experiment. I like reggaeton, but the genre has been SOOOO played out in recent years. We even have Western acts who don’t speak a lick of Spanish trying to jump on the trend 

and I’m SCREAMING at Karol coming to Montreal later this year  most Latin acts only perform at Toronto when they bring their tour to Canada, but she also included Montreal and Vancouver for the west coast Canadians  we have to stan.
