I kept trying to avoid this one but you know it's a hit when you try to resist a song, but you can't because you know it lowkey slaps. I really love the flutes and the chorus is super catchy.

Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” hits a new No. 4 Hot 100 high, up from No. 5, and reaches the Radio Songs top 10 (14-10; 40.9 million, up 16%, good for top Airplay Gainer honors on the Hot 100).

Lizzo notches her third Radio Songs top 10, following her 2019 No. 1s “Truth Hurts” (for six weeks beginning that September) and “Good as Hell” (four, November). “Time” tops the multi-metric Hot R&B Songs chart for a third week.

This may end up becoming her biggest career song. What a turnaround from "Lizzo is done" just a few months ago!

Same peak as Rumors

I just noticed there are CDs in her store.

This is genuinely one of the songs of the summer. I have never seen the general public from kids, to soccer moms, to influencers, embrace a song so easily like this and not be like “this song is so annoying, i hear it all the time”. You hear it in travel vlogs, cooking videos, dance challenges, etc.

You would have thought Lizzo took 0 break by how easily everyone in the public hopped back on to her brand too. Her tweets are doing better again and she’s getting way less hate like when she originally started getting popular.

This song really reset her music career trajectory.

Yeah this one is just a universal HIT. Good for her honestly.
