I listend to Artpop again after.. years maybe. And all the liddos are right, it was so ahead of its time.. She put so much passion and rage and ambition into it, she almost let it destroy her, because she would rather be destroyed by her art then her struggles. I think its so sad to see how the media and her own fans treated her. She really bounced back, but I think from there on she never really went for it again. It was like she was doing side quests... C2C, Joanne, Chromatica all have okay songs, but she never really tried pushing the envelope ever gain.. its like she got scared to make something as personal as Artpop again, because people rejected her art ( which is her soul basically). I think in acting she has that ambition again which is great to see.. and in the tour the energy felt great again.
