NMIXX would've been way bigger and been in the trinity with HITZY and aespa if they debuted around 2019-2021. Like it made sense with aespa, but what was JYP thinking debuting this in 2022 cause people were already over the original idea (Kwangya), so what makes him think that people would be interested in MIXXTOPIA aka the bootleg version of Kwangya  

NMIXX just debuted in a period where people nowadays are more into "normal" concepts, which is why other 4th gen groups like IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NewJennies etc. are smashing right now. Though HITMIXX will always have the chance to smash, since they are from JYP, and the same goes for hitspa and HITZY, cause the Big 4 privilege is a real thing

They were already transferred to a different company that was acquired by the Kiwi Media Group by the time Wave Music was apparently shuttered.  And while that company is mainly centered around drama production and actors, they did debut their first idol group a few months ago.
