Hyoyeon/HYO/DJ HYO's (or whatever name she goes by today) mini album seems like they rushed it out to fill a gap in the schedule. I was expecting aespa now because it's the perfect time for them to release and they have been practising/recording for literally months already.

 

I think SM is just making us all wait, so we are thirsty for the comeback.

True. Though @Sept has a point, they kinda wasted some of the hype and good press from Coachella. There's no reason why Life's Too Short couldn't have been put out as a pre-release single. We know there's already a Korean version sitting in SM's aespa folder too. 

 

But maybe keeping people waiting a little bit more is a good thing, there will be a lot of anticipation for their comeback.

I don't think a pre release single is a good idea, save it all for the main comeback, Aespa haven't done so well with b-sides so far so taking away attention from the title track is a miss step imo, they have had so much success so far that it is best to not make the GP tired of it, also, we could easily expect a full album by now, RV had it a year after debut, and didn't SNSD had it too with Gee?, Also Fx with Nu Abo if I am not mistaken, I think Aespa's is long overdue so it may be worth the wait.

NU ABO was a mini but SM dropped pinocchio their first album about 1.5 years after debut but agreed  and soshi doesn't quite fit because they debuted with a full album (self titled with kissing you) but if you wanna count gee as their debut oh! full album came out like less than a year or so after gee

Ofc not, they need to work hard and competition is very very hard, I just hope they make their best effort with the girls, give them good material, good styling and a chance to show how talented they are, also a non experimental track would be nice for a change.

Which is a completely different discussion from what I think about her personality (and isnt even on topic!!!)??? Like????????

 

Why yall so bitter that I cant stand WY??? What yall want me to do? List the other idols I think are spoilt/bratty? Make anth essay abt how I think garam differs from WY? Not ONCE have I denied that WY suits her concepts, performs well enough etc etc. Not ONCE have I called for her to be ousted from her group etc etc. She does what she has to do to get her coins. Good for her! Doesn't mean I have to like/support her.

She had a herniated disc on her neck around mid 2020 and was hospitalized before More and More promotions. Then she went on a hiatus shortly after during I Can’t Stop Me comeback. She came back in early 2021 but went on hiatus again after Alcohol Free because of anxiety. She said that she still has to take her medications regularly for her neck to fully heal and that explains her weight gain. She fully came back during the Twice US tour…and every other performances that she has missed before that is due to the above reasons.
