Twice’s problem was never their music, it was the overexposure.

They have 34 singles in 7 years. Thats a single every 2.5 months  It’s basic economics. Oversupply causes demand to fall.
 

Its also why these shiny brand new groups can easily get hits while Twice is struggling. 

the sample is not even the best part on After Like.

I already said it before and IVE music concept is exactly the same as T-Ara. Inoffensive, undeniably catchy, great to sing along to, trendy without having to stick to one defined concept. Y'll might forget how unbelievably popular T-ara was before the Hwayoung-gate.

 

Then visual-wise they go after BP's rich, affluent influencer style.

Ive is definitely on the trajectory to be the next BP (moreso than Aespa or any other 4th gen gg), but I do feel they are lacking some of the ingredients key in BP's international success. They have no native English speaking members, and only 1 Japanese member in terms of foreigners. Lisa's immense SEA popularity is so important to BP.

 

So they might be as big as BP in Korea, but I don't see it for them internationally despite the excellent start with their spotify numbers 

Kind of iconic that IVE smashed after everyone said they wouldn’t be able to after Love Dive smashed so hard. On top of that IVE’s concept is so much deeper than anyone expected after everyone said this was rushed and forced out. IVE & NWJNS carrying 4th gen at this point and it’s not up for debate. Aespa is out LSRFM has a chance to make the trinity depending how their next comeback performs.

One moderate hit does not mean they're done They just had the highest selling gg album of ALL TIME  Yall clearly have not followed K-pop for long if you think one underperformance means a group is over

It just depends on what musical direction they stick to going forward - noise is going out of fashion, so they need to switch up their sound soon.

The way aespa would've had NewJeans' concept had Min Heejin stayed with SM, and considering they're age appropriate and have good, soulful vocals..

 

Every other company would've went out of business I fear.
