Calling IVE songs childish while stanning Attention and Hype Boy

You must be scared for your flop faves while IVE serves quality and success in every release.

After Like feels like a quick buzz single guessing from the low budget mv and blatant sample. I believe they didn't want to took risk after success of Love Dive and gave them a quick safe song.

You’ve said this like it nullifies any point I just made.

Personally, I feel like there’s nothing at all spectacular about After Like (bar the sample obviously, like many have made note of) and that it’s selling off the back of LOVE DIVE and IVE’s name value alone. That’s not at all a hard concept to grasp.

You said IVE received a reputation of "everything they release being golden" when Love Dive their most acclaimed and successful title was one comeback ago. That happens to most groups that get smash hits. The song they release afterward does pretty well too. Not a hard concept to grasp, this isn't an IVE specific phenomenon. You made no points. Talking about "brand appeal" over one song you didn't like being successful, please :deadbanana4:

A safe song would've been one that uses the same formula and sound as Love Dive to emulate its success. The random sample usage and disco sound came out of left field for most people watching IVE's career. This gives me hope for them because it looks like the comeback after this one is going to follow their tradition and go somewhere else. I hope they keep exploring sounds

Not 10 pages of Twice lashings. This thread is pure evil.

y’all should thank Twice for the pop crack they’ve released every year for 10 years and the excellent b-sides since 2019. :giraffe:

It’s mostly that one troll though. But yeah people are simply too pretentious sometimes to act like Twice hasn’t been serving quality pop music and visuals and charisma and performances since forever. They’re kpop legends at this point and these losers can keep crying I guess.

Seeing jeongyeon on stage makes me very happy, but JYP needs to learn how to dress her. Her styling is a mess!

Like, come on now

This is the most energy she has given since debut she’s shining imagine if her fit was cute :jonny5:

I agree that whatever song that they would put after LD would’ve smashed but after like is a cute bop  nothing extraordinary but it’s still catchy. But they aren’t guaranteed to have back to back hits if the song sucks, Itzy doesn’t have a smash hit since debut because the GP doesn’t like their songs (even if sneakers is doing quite well)

I mean I could say the same thing about aespa girls did okay but this song wouldn’t touched the top 50 If it wasn’t released by aespa. It happened with twice, bp....IVE isn’t an exception.

However that the same thread with people hyping songs like attention :biblionny:

Not the most energy since debut though….did y’all ever watch her fancams before her injury?

im legit starting to feel like I’m the only one who has noticed her in here.

Attention SOTY from the minute it was uploaded to Youtube :flower:

IVE music is indeed unimaginative and mediocre. But that’s okay. They’re pretty girls releasing pretty girl music, and the audience is here for it.

Not ever group has to be progressing and enriching the culture like Stayc and Newjeans

AL might not be on the same level as Eleven and LD but it is still a quality song.

there is nothing basic about it

My pet peeve with IVEs music is that their lyrics make no sense :hoetenks:

Doesn’t really matter since it’s kpop & I only check out the lyrics when when I watch  MVs but seriously wtf is this :rip:

L 다음 또 o 다음 난 yeah

E 앞 또 v 앞 난 yeah

LOEV???

the quality :jonnycat:

i remember just days before the release of the mini someone saying "newjeans fans we better prepare an excuse if the songs flop" and someone else responding "we won't be needing it"

their confidence :clap3:but i also kind of knew

The more that time passes, the more confident I am in saying that hype boy is the greatest song of all time

Honestly jeongyeon has always been lacking in stage presence. Beside Jihyo, Nayeon, sana and Momo the rest quite improved and they’re enjoyable to watch.

LO - I - VE which means in love, there’s a “I” which is them. They’re in love with themselves.

Jeongyeon is definitely not the weakest dancer, it’s Chaeyoung and Dahyun by a mile.

I mean, she's the only one who takes longer to learn the dances. She said so herself but definitely improved a lot.

i actually enjoy IVE’s music but they are very obviously going for easy to digest generic music. They made end up with the same fate as TWICE though if they keep these frequent generic comebacks.

They need to give off more than a group made to promote Wonyoung and Yujin

The Aespa no live vocal era is truly over. They are just as good as any previous SM gg live I fear :celestial5:Demolished the bridges at 2:40 and 9:00

There is work to be done with stage presence, but RV had the same issue. Karina is killing it at least.

Ive had Last Sequence on replay all day. Must be horrible being the rut in between  the two digital powerhouses Sistar & IVE

The literally had everything it took to smash  (Quality music, It-girl Bona, Ex it-girl Cheng Xiao, Vocals, a good rapper, an IOI girl) & they even won Queendom but it just never happened for them.

It truly breaks my heart :chick3:

I blame SSE's mediaplay for calling them the female EXO and then choosing MoMoMo to make a first impression :rip: Like what were they thinking..

Mmm not sure if I agree. She’s always shined for me considering the little unremarkable lines she usually gets in their title tracks. Her energy and the precision in her moves have always been noticeable for me. She went off here imo.

Chaeyoung and Tzuyu are the actual members who have weaker stage presence. Dahyun is a weak dancer but she makes up for it with her stage presence.

that actually might be true but it’s not the same as being the weakest dancer though.

Her confidence went through the roof ever since her weight loss and that reflected in the performances in the best way possible.

Sad that it took her weight loss to give her that confidence but she’s snapped too hard

Its the second biggest song of June after massive smash hit Pop!

You still overlooking the fact that LD's entire chart run in the top 5 is longer than YTC's in the top 30:ahh:
