I remember enjoying the album for what it was back then but it didn't feel like it was enough of a departure in terms of sound from the stuff she was releasing right before like LOVE again (which I found better as an album in comparison and a bit overhated, but those messy mini album releases certainly didn't help ) and I was kinda burned out of that sound myself so I didn't replay it much. Also people and even the gays were dragging her risk-taking stuff like Party queen and Colours so queen really could not win back then.

I feel like some of these girls are so conditioned to reinvent themselves (thanks to Madonna globally and Matsutoya locally) that they end up doing it just for the sake of it and abandon the producers with who they had the perfect chemistry. Sometimes it works (practically everyone who dropped TK's ass) but there are many cases when it doesn't. I get the fear of becoming stale by working with the same people but then... they still become stale because the new producers don't know how to bring the best out of them or are straight up talentless. I also don't think it's the issue of those producers being too expensive because their popularity died with the girls' popularity, let's be real, so just unite in your tankery and give the 100 people who still care about j-pop in 2024 something to talk about.

I mean do we even have any more DD tracks from the girlies outside the one I posted? Meanwhile we have entire discographies worth of TKs music for some of them like  I'm sure label politics are a major factor in this as well, which is just sad. 

And then you have visionaries like Miss Furuya actively scrubbing TK from their TK productions
