I feel like it has to do with the Disney Upfront. They definitely need to release some sort of thing for a bunch of their shows. Also thinking if the doc is really with Disney they might announce it. Not sure if we’ll get a trailer. Feel like it could get overshadowed by a bunch of things so maybe they’ll release that separately.

Oh, so maybe they release the trailer at the Upfronts and just announce the doc and she does it officially with more coming in the coming weeks

Yeah I think so. I might also be confusing it with the Disney Investor day where they announced OMITB. Reading online at the upfront they showcase upcoming new content and schedules. I guess we’ll see. 

 

Also hope we get a season 2 premiere. 

Side note her team should really use her Twitter more, her stats are pretty bad there but they neglect to post new things there too. Even the fan club could be more efficient.

Director Jacques Audiard will helm Emilia Perez, a comedy that will star Argentinian actress Karla Sofia Gascón , with talks underway with Selena Gomezand Zoe Saldana.

 

Will provide more details when I get them, but this is creating buzz in the Cannes market. It’s a musical comedy about an El Chapo-type fugitive who can’t get away from the law so has a sex change. Ten years later she misses her children immensely and returns as their aunt. LPI is financing, and Wild Bunch will be selling international along with CAA Media Finance, which is also selling North American territories. Sofia is an Argentinian trans actress who has emerged as one to watch. Tell you more when I know it.

Plot sounds kinda messy but Sofia is a trans actress. And she’s just in talks,  but the buzz at Cannes makes me excited.

The plot is a mess and I can see it being controversial but this type of news always get me so excited 

 

Look at the material. Acclaim, acclaim and more acclaim.

I mean, I’m glad for more roles but part of me wishes she ended up passing on it cause the plot really is not good. Transitioning just to get out of jail? Really?

I’m not exactly sure what he is, but he’s with aleen’s management firm. I wanna say he’s the person who works right under aleen but I’m not too sure

 

and yeah the plot sounds iffy, but this is undoubtedly the most acclaimed director she’s worked with so I have mixed feelings, and it sounds like she would have a prominent role- like a supporting role and not a 3-minute cameo. at least they casted an actual trans woman for the lead role but still I would need more details
