yall… her not releasing music is not because she didn’t have the time. she is LOST as an artist and after all these years she is scared to put out something that won’t live up to the expectations. yall always talk about scheduling issues and whatnots but there is a psychological aspect to this too. the gap between her and being a singer is only getting bigger everyday, the longer she waits the more difficult it’s going to get for her. but honestly she could spit in our faces and and scream at us that she’s not recording **** and the navy would still find a way to interpret that as her coming back “next year”

 

and pls miss me with the “but she released drop me down!!!” and “smurfs album coming soon!!!” etc. those are clearly just money moves and doesn’t require her artistic vision like an album does.

Saying the quiet part out loud  And the truth is, pregnancy doesn't really affect her ability to release music, because it's not like she was ever going to do a massive promotional campaign either. In the end, whenever she does release an album, the most we'll get is a couple of social media posts, and maybe some interviews and photoshoots - nothing that she hasn't been doing while pregnant.

If she had no intentions of releasing then there was no reason for her to do the SB and line up festivals....she was definitely planning on releasing new music before the 2nd pregnancy came into play. So yeah, it's not far fetched to think that new music will come in 2024. Anyways.....to each their own, we can all choose to believe what we want to believe.

We will have an album next year. That's my prediction. She is always creating. If now she is not the CEO and if she wanted to comeback this year. Next year we will have it for sure.

It's so frustrating because if she had released the album in 2019 as originally intended she probably wouldn't feel this pressure of having to "live up to Anti" that seems to be holding her off. But at the same time, there must've been a reason for her not to release it back then, and anyone's guess as to why is as good as mine.

The album will come next year. I’m fairly certain we should have had the album by now if she were not pregnant and canceled Gladstonbury and (or) Coachella (and who knows what else was planned for this year).

 

I think we’re forgetting that her marketability on FB / SxF (and in general) relies on her music to a certain extent, so there’s pressure from there too. I do think her featuring on the Black Panther soundtrack was meant to be a bit of a “Band-Aid” fix, though obviously likely didn’t generate as much hype as they were anticipating. I only hope that’s not the case with the smurfs thing..

Well new album = new tour and she's not going to announce or rehearse a tour in the middle of a pregnancy or a couple weeks postpartum  just like she wouldn't have said yes to do the Super Bowl had she known she was or would be pregnant then... lol

Hmm I'm not convinced that's true because when she was asked about new music in the lead up to the SB she said that her doing the halftime show had nothing to do with her releasing new music

Theoretically if she was to release a new album in 2024, she could wait until 2025 to tour. Like how Beyonce did with Renaissance.

 

And acknowledging that the hypothetical album won't have a massive promo campaign is just obvious at this point. Basically none of the big artists in music have massive promotional campaigns anymore for their era's, I doubt Rihanna will be any different especially because her comeback hype would be enough to make the album successful.

Actually she said she didn't know she was pregnant during the British Vogue shoot, mid-December 2022. And considering most of her team and the NFL found out she was pregnant at the last minute, it's likely she didn't tell her tour promoters she was pregnant - until Super Bowl weekend. The tour announcement was probably canceled last minute.
