I LOVED IT! I don’t think anyone of us expected BBHMM to be the opener. Her vocals were on point. The Diamonds finale was incredible, that was the highlight for me.

REAL TALK:

She sounded great so i'm happy. She didn't dance much and lacked a bit of energy but she's pregnant so that excuses it. Hopefully the GP stans it cuz other stans are dragging tf out of her.

 

BUT...... her team hyped tf out of the show. What was the never before done thing? The production was minimal. They could have put more into it. It DID lack in a lot of things just being completely real. And I'm happy for her that she's pregnant blah blah blah....but what was the point of doing the biggest stage in the world then? Like what.

I absolutely love the performance. The second baby is a bad thing for R9. 

But she sounds so good and do a unique SB. 

Pose was so cool. Rude boy new version was absolutely amazing. And love the end with Diamonds. 

 

She was beautiful as always but when she is pregnant she is more beautiful.

We all know that people will come to hate. 

 

But was fantastic. 

She did an amazing job and an amazing live. Twitter adore her. Some haters but massive support 

All my tea was right and some of you doubted me  

 

But the show was meh, her VMAs was better. But she’s pregnant, she served vocals and she served beauty. I truly think this is her swan song from music for now and we should just let her go.  

Honestly very disappointed.

 

1. Aesthetics didn't even change. The same red outfit, red background, same white costume dancers.

 

2. Lip sync was very obvious

 

3. Transitions were dull

 

 

The hits are there, but it waa flat throughout, no any highs and lows. It's like listening to a Spotify Rihanna megamix 

I hate everything about it  

 

I enjoyed it and think it was fine, but I can't help but feel a tad underwhelmed. She's pregnant so it makes sense that she couldn't dance stupendously, but the set wasn't as grandiose as it could've been and there wasn't even a single costume change.  Some users are getting way too brave by calling it "the worst halftime of all time", though. 

I'm just going to be honest, I didn't enjoy it but she looked great and (Rude Boy)

Can she give birth to a ******* album first, then pop out more asap Rockies. Like damn I’ll even take a single or a droplet era.

- terrible at lipping, she was literally putting her mic down as the vocals were still playing at several points
- PIU and AOTL but not DSTM, S&M, PDR or WMN? 
- disappointing choreo (partially excused since she's preggo but could've been much better)
- messy outfit
- transitions were rough at times
- fenty beauty promo 

 

Quite disappointed to be honest

Pregnancy and choreo aside, my biggest critique is Rihanna has always been a very visual artist, the show was way too monotonous for me. I was expecting some homage to barbados / cropover etc (not saying I wanted her in those outfits, but elements could of been incorporated a little)

i think it’s time to recycle my stan card cuz Rihanna the singer is no more. It’s all Fenty now. the lip syncing, the stiff dancing, the set list was iffy.. she did the tired ass AOTL/RTT/Umbrella medley… she kinda gagged me with Pose & Cockiness and mixing BBHMM with WHYB. Why the hell did she sing Wild Thought? And she could’ve easily incorporated Pon De Replay/What’s My Name into the Rude Boy/Work medley.

For Rih standards, she did amazing imo. 
 

She could’ve easily brought guests, performed LMU, and worst of all came high asf. 

I will say, despite loving it, it was strange that during the press conference she was emphasizing paying homage to her roots as a Caribbean woman and said that representation was one of the biggest reasons she accepted the gig... like the show was not serving Barbados, I'll say that  still a slay 

Some of y’all put high expectations and/or being negative for no reason. 

I mean this is Rih and she is like 5 or 6 months pregnant 

This was amazing for her standarts 

Maybe it was ahead of its time.  I feel like we'll look back on this and it will have looked better than what it seems right now.
