I wanted to watch it again before I made any comments cause I could barely remember after watching it live. 3 minutes in on my rewatch and unfortunately I love it  I wish I didn’t like it so I wouldn’t mind her not coming back for years again lol

 

She looked so fierce and the mix was actually lit even though a little crammed up at the start. I love the stage design and the visual aesthetics of the show, I personally much prefer this sleek, edgy, clean design than whatever else they could come up with. Everything looked really cool. Would be much better if the stage changed colors with a couple of outfit changes though, could be a nice change of scenery. Great performance imo.

Just watched for the first time & it fine gfor Rih's standards. BUT I really wish she'd just say she's done with music at this point though cause the hype building up to the performance fueled by her herself and the media only to lead to this is a biT annoying ! 

Yeah. It was a very cute performance. She’s pregnant, yet she made it work. Very proud of her. 

No new music, no tour, another baby.

 

Performance was ok but slightly underwhelming, no outfit change and a little low energy. I get it that she is pregnant but...I don't know. I think this might be it for music tbh. 

 

I mean BBHM, PIU, RTT, AOTL over a few other hits is confusing to me.

She looks like she's 5 months pregnant and her son is 9 months....damn her kids will be so close in age. That's beautiful!

Yeah haven't seen anything negative about her performance....mostly people praising the performance, talking about her pregnancy, or the hits she performed

The only negativity I’ve seen are from Stan’s of others. GP liked it.

 

also we really should’ve known she was pregnant. Those pics of her in the oversized jerseys.. looking back at it it was so obvious! And she would always wear some type of jacket or something to cover her stomach area

 

Underwhelming choice of songs. No PDR, no DSTM, no WMN. 

The energy was lacking giving me Dua Lipa vibes in the beginning.  

The scene was also uninspired, giving a budget of 5 dollars and 39 cents.

I'm happy for her pregnancy but why even undertake something like the Superbowl? Very interesting timing. Was she already pregnant when she decided to take on this challenge?

Well we all thought that she was just fat at this point, giving that she gave bearth a few months ago.

Yea definitely in retrospect....even in her Thursday media rounds she was covering her stomach with the oversized jacket and her hands were constantly in front of her stomach 

I enjoyed it. I don’t know why anyone would expect her to suddenly give energy she’s never been known for in the first place. I would have changed out all of the lights, wild thoughts and run this town with far more worthy songs from her discography but overall it was a good Rihanna performance 

Am shocked her catalogue hasn't been made available on TikTok and Instagram, given Needed Me was uploaded to both after it was used for the promo vid. 

There's still hope for new music ...don't think an album is coming soon but she may give us a couple of stand alone singles.

 

Her closing the show with Diamonds and rubbing her belly made me feel like she's gonna serve us another mid-tempo ballad

Wasn't it announced like 7 months ago? I don't think she was pregnant

Also i watched it with 4 people that are pretty GP'd. they understood she's pregnant and can't do much more and loved the show. Stans will be stans lol.

Her being pregnant is not an "excuse", but I really need her to fire whoever the creative director or stage manager or whoever is responsible for her production since Anti. I really don't appreciate the minimalist approach when it comes to production because we know Rih is not the strongest performer to begin with.

So , 

1. Setlist was a pure perfection

2. She looked phenomenal 

3. Stage was unreal 

4. Vocals were on point

5. She gave the Rih energy

 

 

Haters or non real stanners they call it low energy but THIS IS RIHANNA.  She makes everything look cool and effortless and she just did that.  She performed on the biggest stage of the world after not having a performance for so many years and she acted like she was performing in the middle of a tour 

 

Ppl are asking for a change of scene and outfits...  i really cannot with atrl sometimes 

 

 

Anyways me im blown away probably i will watch the performance 1000 times

It felt minimalist to me even with the army of dancers. The floating platforms were cool, but I wanted more smoke and mirrors. Something ala Katy Perry's superbowl or Madonna's super bowl performance. I think this would've made her performance more memorable.
