So you just gonna rewrite history…Wild side did amazing things it went straight to Number 14 on the billboard viral TikTok song that popped of multiple trends critical acclaimed music video trended for weeks other artist was obviously inspired by it was number 1 on urban radio constantly and if it didn't disappear from streaming services for a day and half she could have easily scored her first lead single top 10 wild side did amazing things

with the proper backing, "candy paint" absolutely would have been a hit. "motivation" and "wild side" were moderate hits with barely any promo so imagine if promo was tied to it. idk what you're yapping bout.

I love that Cardi was on the song and will always be grateful for the natural push she gave to song out love of it but Normani what have done that without Cardi the most viral thing about the song was its flow catchy lyrics swaggy vocal and most of all it's choreography and not only was fans excited for her comeback that's when she was really in the good graces of the general public so again she would accomplished that on her own or with help

If they were hits the label would have dropped her album…that's what the label kept waiting for and when it didn't happen the album got pushed and delayed and she went back into the studio

if normani had the promo for it ABSOLUTELY. the video alone shook the internet. people loved the song and were clenching on normani's return to music. with the right promotion, she definitely could have rose up the charts. the music is NEVER her problem its the promotion.

why are we arguing about 5 years old single? Wildside to me proved that Normanu has a strong crossover ability (had she and the label no squandered it). She easily had what it took to be what Rihanna was in the early to late 2000's/2010's. Someone who could've bridged the gap between the urban and pop market.

if only she had released that pop album when she was told. We would've been eating good.

As for Camila, like I said; yes, she is popular. Yes, she has more of a following than Mani.

However, she has no sons or any real influence on pop culture outside of a few memes.

Normani; regardless if you believe so or not. Definitely changed the pop lane for the good. Nobody was really performing when she debuted as a solo artist. Her Love Lies performance went viral and gave her some notoriety because the pop stars weren't dancing and performing like her at the time.

Now she has everyone trying to uo their performance game with some choreo. Hell, even Harry Styles is doing a stiff ass two step in his performances.

Probably not. Either she's been shelved (hopefully not) or whoever she is signed with now wants to wait until they are ready to announce something. A feature could be seen as a distraction (even though I'm open to any kind of music).
