The reason I brought this up is because the hint has a rocket on it. I also saw that normani talking to TBHITS. He also wrote and produced the NASA on Ariana’s TUN. So could it be that her next single is produced by him. To keep in line with the space then maybe it’s space themed title wise. 

I think you giving Normani or her team way too much credit. I don’t think they had a plan with the Boss thing because they used a song that was supposed to be released and never came out. From what it seems is that she took a break from music which lines up with what Sean said. So maybe the idea is let her have her movie come out and maybe have a song on the soundtrack doesn’t have to be a single but a song on there. And then get back in the studio next year.
I’m thinking everything she has recorded has been scrapped which makes sense because a lot of the songs she recorded were years ago. Hence why we getting all these random leakes. Shes enjoying life and her boyfriend and waiting for the movie to come out. 
 

As for the movie it might be a while till it come out because the whole point of Sundance is to get a distributor. So once that happens and depending if and when it gets picked up we might be looking at late 2024 or even 2025. I don’t think they should wait that long for her to get back to music but knowing her record label who knows

If I remember your Candy Paint source accurately, they were listening to new music to determine playlisting for a streamer, so if you have definitive clues already, I’m inclined to believe music is coming very soon. 
 

Having said that, I don’t see Candy Paint on any playlists

Well it was obviously confirmed that Candy Paint was sent to Spotify and Apple. RCA decided to not release and her father fell ill with cancer. I wasn't wrong, it was just a pivot.

But Wheresjay basically said that she was gearing up to release. Why would she push back her album any longer? Especially now that it seems like Tate Mcrae has somewhat plateaued at least for now. Her music is decent but she’s just too green. It would behoove them to release while she actually has nothing going on.

Everything is in line and being finalized. Album is done (the current and final version) and they are going to be moving her around a lot during Feb/March (shoots are lined up).

Ummm I don’t know if I believe the album is done. I highly doubt after all the ups and downs with her last single and her not being out with music for over a year they aren’t gonna test singles first before putting out an album.

I think if it was done we be getting her in the studio finalizing album list…mixing something.

i def believe the album is done and i think because she has new management, they’re gearing up to reintroduce her next year. feb/march sounds accurate since the movie is in jan. makes the most sense.

The movie isn’t coming out in January…Sundance is in January …which the whole point is to get distribution. So the earliest the movie can come out is maybe the  summer but more likely fall/winter. And that’s only if they do get distribution and if it’s steaming or theatrical. 
 

this new management seems to be pushing more visibility so I’m just more inclined to believe if album is done and ready to go we would see something. First of all no one is passing on a Pedro Pascal movie that was picked to premiere the first day on Sundance so yes it will get distribution. Secondly all that user said was the movie is in jan. She could have easily just meant the movie is premiering in Jan at Sundance so Normani will be around doing promotion. Why did you think she was stating the movie would be released then? 

 

Tate's album wasn't suppose to come out when it did. She said the label rushed her to finish it. Probably because greedy was smashing and they wanted her to release an album before it peaked. There are plenty of artists who complete their albums way before it is supposed to be released.

what would we see if the album is done? lol. if the album is done that allows them to plan the release strategically if anything lol. if her movie comes out in january it only makes sense to push the album after following the visibility she’ll get from the movie so wheresjay seems on the money lol.

I think they meant premiering at Sundance. Also, I don’t know if you know this but most of these indie films that premiere at Sundance already have distribution. A lot of the times these filmmakers meet with distributors months in advance. They use the festival as a way to test out the audience reception which sometimes can be good or lukewarm. Same thing happened with Elton John’s biopic. These movie companies are in it to make a buck and need assurance that the product that they are investing in makes a profit. 

 

But even then I don’t think that will influence the debut album any. Madonna, Kelly Rowland , Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and Cher have released movies before and mid album cycle before it’s not unheard of.

I might have said this before but last year, Chloe used the movie she was in as a way to promote her debut album coming which I think could be what Normani's team will try to accomplish if the movie is coming soon after its premiere at Sundance
