There’s a lot of projection going on here. I never said that I was better than anyone. I haven’t even given anybody the reason to believe that, but I stand on what I said 200%.

The post I responded to was you speaking on what and how frequently people were posting in here and I will admit off top it is a pet peeve of mine so? I feel like it is. As a Black woman in the music space, I see it all the time, even with other artists and the pressures. I know I’m guilty of being like, ‘okay, is this urban enough? Am I going to neglect the fans I’ve grown with and that have watched me since I was 15?’ But at the end of the day, my only objective is to be my authentic self. At the core, at the end of the day, I’m always going to be Black. I can be my Black self making pop records. Hell, if I want to make a country record, I could do whatever I want. And honestly, that’s what I would want for young Black Kings and Queens to see because it’s forcing the rest of the world to catch up with us, as opposed to us feeling like we have to be this one thing.

I don’t care if someone challenges something I say even though it’s just the truth about the current state of her career. I took issue with that go touch some grass bit bc I find it pretentious so I said something? It’s a forum to discuss.
