Do we know what was the reason for her set not being on hulu? Is there an official statement? So far I only see barbz on Twitter speculating and trying to convice everybody Nicki is sabotaged again even though Nicki herself could not allow her set to be streamed. Maybe it's because of her other festivals. She's most likely performing the same set.

 

Twitter Barbz are not the best source of information.

I'm just saying Nicki could be the one who didn't want her set to be streamed on Hulu. Why would she do that? The possibilities are endless but it still makes more sense than Hulu refusing to stream the set of one of the headliners and biggest artists that perfomed on that festival.

I have a theory.

Concert venues & streaming channels are typically required to pay licensing fees for the music they host, play or air publicly. I believe one possibility is that Hulu may have refused to pay these fees, despite wanting to stream the music and performance, which caused Nicki’s camp to pull the livestream element. Basically, “if you aren’t going to pay for the license of my music, you won’t get to stream it” type of situation. 

 

I could be wrong, I’m not an industry expert. 

I know nothing about the industry and how that works but I'm just trying to use logical thinking. I've seen a lot of Barbz  trying to say Hulu is trying to sabotage her but that doesn't make any sense. Even if Hulu tried to be petty and refuse to stream her performance out of spite (even though they have no reason) Nicki didn't lose anything anyway. She performed and already got the money. She doesn't gain or lose anything in this situation unless she had a deal with Hulu which I highly doubt.

 

I'm tired of this sabotage and hate train narrative. At this point the only person who's trying to stop her bag is Nicki herself.

I don’t think Hulu refused to stream her set, as you said, it makes no sense for that to be the case. Which is why I think the decision not to allow streaming was ultimately from Nicki, but it was due to Hulu refusing to pay licensing fees for the music. 

 

Smaller artists would’ve just said “that’s fine” due to the exposure, but Nicki isn’t in need of that & she’s always been very contract conscious & demands to be paid what she’s owed. Essence would’ve paid her a portion of the ticket sales to actually perform, yet Hulu was going to benefit from the stream without paying up.

Wait why are we saying she ate ? She basically did everything we hoped she wouldn't do when we were making fun of her this past week 

 

But honestly I give her a big pass, this was her first performance since 2019 & after being pregnant, so I think she did just fine but she definitely did eat anything.

Well... performing was never her forte. She has some good performances here and there but these are mostly awards show few minute ones. I'm just glad she rapped most of her words this time.

I hate y’all  drag her ass. But I liked the performance anyways she better give us the bare minimum.

She's been doing the same thing on stage for years now tbh. I was lowkey glad she perfomed High School even though I don't really like the song that much. It was nice change of pace.
