I saw this on twitter "barbz are filling her head with bullshjt to the point where she thinks proper rollout is somehow shady industry games?" and it's so spot on 

 

She can have a meltdown and she/her team will be the only ones to blame 

I doubt Nicki is allowed that much control. I think she liked the single, but the label didn't want to support it. Nobody refuses promo. I feel bad because the song is okay, but its not something people want to listen to now I guess.

The way some go on, you’d think her entire accomplished career is somehow riding on the performance of this one song. 
 

She’s made the assessment, albeit hard headedly, that this is how she wants to introduce the album. She’s served variety, bops & commercial hits all year. Just let her be, I promise it isn’t that serious. 
 

I think a lot of these younger fans are too concerned with stats, comparisons & getting dragged. When you have your supposedly fave artist dropping consistent quality & expressing how she’s been there done that with the SFG numbers & it isn’t what she’s valuing this time around. 
 

I think it’s accomplished it’s task at drawing in an unlikely audience after all the drill, edm & op rap that was dropped this year. There is a strategic spin, beyond immediate numbers. Clearly she understands this, and has assessed that it’s better to wait it out & decide where she wants to invest the bulk of the album’s budget. She’s never really had a properly focused rollout, but that’s how she likes to work. It’s chaotic, it’s current & it’s organic. 
 

It’s a privilege that she can do so, as opposed to the gworls that need to exploit their marital issues (again), or resort to “shock” visuals to drum up any interest in their material. 
 

She’s a veteran female rapper, 15 years into her career, and with a highly nostalgic album title & standard to live up to. Just keep some perspective about the reality. 
 

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the VMA appearance & the Drake, Billie & Tay collabs. I anticipate her name & brand will continue to be everywhere for the rest of the year & that’s exciting af & more than others can say.

No one here is mad nor questionning her career/legacy, if anything we are more laughing at LTISY's performance. I am just concerned about her being obsessed with this "no payola, all organic" narrative, because at the end of the day that's just her refusing to play the game. Having a video ready on release isn't a shady tactic, why is she even thinking that sfshdhdjdd. PF2 is anticipated to be her last era, so it's strange to see her not go all out for a song that she loves that much (for her first album in 5 years).
