27 turning 28 years old. Unprecedented for a female rapper to make it mainstream at that age, bearing her soul letting the world know she was ready! Re-listening to Pink Friday from front to back just gave me chills. Being on her journey from the beginning makes me emotional 😭. Full circle moment with PF2 coming. I’m so READY. 

 

I can remember being in Year 8 (2009 - 12 years old) in IT class. We were all on Google and YouTube in our free time looking at pics/videos of Drake/Nicki and people were saying she was ugly/fake/a hoe and my feelings of anger were bubbling. I had Still I Rise as my profile song on Bebo at this time. I got into an argument with this girl called Alisha who told me Nicki was fake and never going to make it and I told her to refer to my Bebo page lmao. Then in 2013 she sent me a birthday card with Kane Minaj on the front 😂😂. I’ve never known an artist be so hated, people talk about the hate train era but in reality it’s been since the beginning. Anyways story time over.

period. alot of barbz have this same experience in ways that been here since 2009. new barbz that experienced the hate train couldnt handle it because they were not here during Nickis transition from underground to mainstream in 2009-2010. People didnt even know her and were writing think pieces and hating so bad.

As a casual fan I didn't notice a "hate train" early on, she might have had haters but so does everybody . First time I saw her getting hate on a large scale was when she snapped on Mariah when they were on American Idol.

 

Why is Jatavia even bothering with that experiment.

How did you not notice? It was bad. And it was spreading worldwide and quickly... I was kinda scared tbh  but ofc mother pushed thru 

I notice the hate back in 2010 before pink Friday dropped when I was looking up every video I can to watch about her. The lil Kim comparison videos, the dissection of her verses, the criticism of the way she rapped, not to mention the Keys diss videos  I still remember this video saying she was dissing lil mama on 5 star chick and they was tearing her ass up in the comments.  The same **** they did to her then, they still do it now.  
 

she's been a threat to a lot of people since day one, comes with the territory.

shawnna couldn’t take queen & she was unknown at this point  

 

but nicki is one of the most beautiful women alive, so it’s expected. btches are just haters lol

Nicki saying that "she was maybe not deserving of the love we gave her" actually made me feel so good for some reasons lol, I was like "damn ***** I'm glad you are aware of that".

Which is the reason haters have had to photoshop her to make her look ugly since the dawn of time 😂. The photo on the right still triggers me, I could argue till I was blue in the face that this wasn’t Nicki but it was basically considered fact for years.
