I ******* love how she is never just a feature. She always adds something to the song. You can clearly see how much she loves every record she's been part of.

Part of me wonders if she/Interscope doesn't see any real radio hits on LG7 given the direction she's going with it, hence this single beforehand. Since if most of it sounds like what she teased at Olympics and is hell themed, it definitely will be a curveball lol.

(Could be way off, but would give her momentum that a lead single would if they don't see one blowing up but want her on radio/etc.)

Her collaborations (that are singles at least :eli:) are always such standouts. They have their own personality and energy.

Bruno can direct a video for her for another ballad later so she doesn't go back into the desert and throw on a cowboy hat. :gaycat2:

Is it a HIT or a FLOP?

I'm still a lowkey hater. Maybe it'll grow on me. I'm not really a fan of the aesthetic of the music video. The song is cute but HMH ate her up!

it's an okay droplet, much better than her last one

I love posting the "Contact us" links to Interscope, Grammys or the Oscars... when people complain about Gaga, like, it isn't our fault we have a real artist as fave and you don't. :ahh:

I don't think you're too far off tbh. The snippets she played sound fantastic but definitely more non-commercial. There's gonna be at least one potential radio hit on the album (probably Dancing in the Shadows), but the album as a whole could be meant to attract critical success and develop her musical and artistic legacy rather than be a stream of obvious hits.

I don't see Gaga releasing an experimental era without having some kind of plan to make it a success. At least 2 or 3 more digestible songs. She is a mainstream artist after all, and I'm sure both her + her label are aware that she needs to deliver something amazing next (considering how long it's been since Chroma), that can also resonate with GP in a way.

The way she puts a "Gaga twist" in every song is so cool.

This song has a more end of a party and club anthem vibe. You're still dancing with your SO but with your friends group too. The "And Diiiieeee With a Smiiillllee!" part with just everyone belting it simultaneously. And the "I want to end it with you" is not just directed to your SO but to everyone, "I want it to end with" you-you-you-you, pointing your finger to each person you love.

This song has crack in it, i've had it on repeat all day just because Im obsessed and it gets stuck in my head :deadbanana: An endless doom loop

Yeah. I'm not convinced she will do any lead singles for it though, rather than just releasing it suddenly. I felt like on the GCB red carpet, she was implying a visual album of some kind because she mentioned how she's been blending film and her music/it's not "two different things"

They won't want it to be a colossal failure commercially, but yeah. We shall see I guess!

Song has been stuck in my head all day can't stop playing it it's really good :WAP:

If thats the case, then they should just drop the album at once without any pre release singles and make it visual album, so all tracks can get to 100M+ streams on spotify and some of them obviously more.

if one of them sticks or goes viral with the listeners then they can send it to the radio.

That's what I've been wanting!

It makes sense. I think I posted a few days ago (not sure if it ever went through given the servers though :skull:) that I was skeptical about the insiders saying she was having setbacks with Interscope regarding the material and that was causing delays, but maybe there was some truth behind it and this track was their meet in the middle. Like they're happy to have no notions with LG7 and let her do what she wants with it, but they wanted this to have some kind of notch on the success belt before the album roll-out happens.

Just intrigued to see how that ties together depending on what their plan is with the LG7 release. I don't have a huge clue how playlisting and radio deals work in the US vs. here in the UK, but unless the song is a mega-hit, they wouldn't still have a song from August of a respective year in regular rotation, say, the January or February the following year. At least you'd hear it a lot less. Obviously the release of this doesn't need to imminently bleed into LG7, makes no sense to if they have hope this will take off and be a massive hit, but in the essence of meeting in the middle, it'd make sense to somewhat ride the wave while they can.

I think they'll do a Billie strategy and just drop the album with an intended lead sent to radio and see what happens. That honestly seems to be the best strategy these days.

Am I the only one who doesn't want a surprise drop for the entire album? Like, at all? :suburban:

I really don't mean it as shade, but could this even happen? I understand why it works for Billie, but most young people don't really look up to Gaga anymore. Unless, somehow, they manage to make her super cool again with the youngsters. The fact that it may be a super experimental album will also drive some people away. I'm sure numbers will be good since she has such a huge fanbase. But all tracks above 100M kinda sounds like a reach.

Prove me wrong, queen.

I'm with you, unless it's followed by extensive promo + at least 4 singles :eli:
