Most studios don't have stan mentality and don't do it in normal cases. Look at biggest winner of past 2 winners, EEAAO and Oppenheimer both had multiple actors fighting for Oscars. They are all in same boat, everyone chances goes up when everything is top notched from lead actors, supporting actors, score, editing, pacing etc. One of the main reason why Gaga missed HOG nomination, because even though she was stellar rest of movie sandbagged her.
