July 23, 20242 yr comment_26227769 There's no way that Gaga after 2 successful lead roles for which she got awards recognition booked a supporting role for her third movie after a 3 years break, not that there's something of less value in a supporting role (all actors do those and they can be more outstanding than lead roles), but it just doesn't make sense to me in the way Gaga is handling her acting career so far also timetable wise with 3 years break between roles. The movie is also supposed to have several musicals numbers and we barely seen that, it doesn't mean the movie won't have them at the end just based on a few minutes trailer. Out of those, 4 were original and there's also a rewriting of Dinah Washington's classic The Bitter Earth - Variety claims it's 15 songs and a few songs might be original, maybe they cut 5 songs or some of the songs are just barely featured like idk maybe the trailer songs - The Bitter Earth, That's Entertainment, Blackbird and Get Happy are so far the songs confirmed to be sang by Gaga. I think there was another song or even a couple more confirmed/rumoured but I forgot. - Harley and Joker bond over trauma and Joker's own mommy issues and that makes them escape but plan goes awry - "Harley" only exists in Joker's imagination, Gaga is called Harleen through the movie and Lee by Joker - If the first intel we got holds true, the movie will be quite gruesome, there might even be a r*pe scene - RideOrDie confirmed there's original songs and they are jazz-y ballads she had written in the past - This is more speculation: the movie may be a courtroom drama musical in a way? With real and fake scenes mixing.
