I have a conspiracy theory that ever since Applause Katy always tries to release around Gaga so that monsters give her release some attention, since she doesn't have a fanbase. She's started teasing new music around the same time as Gaga too...

This blatant lie. ArtRave is her worst tour by miles. It had a few cute moments but most of the outfits looked bad and you could tell she was emotionally jarred at the time.

she closed the show with the beautiful gypsy dress. i always loved this look though, like it's exactly what the tour was going for lol

 

i have a soft spot for artrave... i had so much fun!!!

Joanne Tour is her best. It's a shame it got the cancellation curse at the end. 

I had an absolute blast at the artrave. My friends and I were stoned, in a euphoric state, blown away from the electrifying atmosphere from the crazy strobing lights during the intro. Witnessing Gaga's dramatic entrance on stage as a phoenix, followed by her alluring transformations throughout the show from Aphrodite, to the Fame era Gaga performing her early hit songs, the octopus outfit, green-haired Mary Jane Holland, Raver girl, and then concluding the show as a white-haired angel was truly an unforgettable and exhilarating psychedelic experience. The energy at madison square garden was beautiful. It was also a special show for me because Gaga had been going through a lot at the time and it felt like she was surrounded by an entire sold out show of people who cared for her and supported her art.
