No cause like seriously Katy is coming in June and I'm sure Gaga will as well, it's tradition. Katy will most probably release the lead this very Friday. 

2x Oscar winner Billie released a solid body of musical work, now 1x Oscar winner Lady Pharma better follow suit, 4 years after Chromatica already.

Some of you just became what Madonna stans were to us. Why constantly trash other artists? Let people enjoy things. At least Katy is releasing new music.

Nah but fr, it's nice that she's closing the era on a big and memorable note with a dedicated premiere before she moves on to other greater things. Eras/Renaissance had theirs but they were also much bigger zeitgeist-y moments with theatrical releases. Most streaming specials don't get this kind of treatment and she's clearly vying for some awards recognition with this one.  

 

I hope she serves a sickening look on the red carpet. Gosh, I just miss her sm.

In retrospect, waiting until the tail end of the Emmys deadline was a really smart decision. I'm sure that was the plan for a while, but we had no way of knowing that between early 2023 - May 2024  She and whoever else worked on it did everything they could to set it up for success; the rest of it is out of their control. And now we get something to enjoy between now and the beginning of the Joker's promotional campaign and release.

Just kidding, I'm happy she is releasing the concert for the fans that couldn't attend, and it's great that for once she kept what she had promised.

 

That said, it's her worst tour in my opinion, so I personally have no interest in watching it again, but I'm pretty sure it will be better on HBO than live. I attended twice, and while her energy was top-notch (as usual, she's one of the greatest performers alive), the staging and setting for a stadium were just a mess. I can understand why she edited the way she did; most of the time nothing was happenning, and in order to keep things interesting, she had to make it feel dynamic.
