People are criticizing Gaga because it feels like she made music her side-career now. And it is getting more obvious and tiring with each new #Ad.

She doesn’t need to be creating music 24/7 lol. Literally none of the girls do, and ALL of them have side hustles. We’re lucky enough our girl is a talented and respected musician and artist and business woman on top of it.

I can see why she’s distant compared to her formative years and taking on business ventures. Maturing, interests expanding, culture shifting. less access is just healthier on a human level too. Plus she has achieved a lot of career milestones already.

I also understand frustration from some fans and how she should be more.. creatively rich in her recent output. it can be jarring to see knowing the artistic ethos she had earlier in her career. but i will tune in to gaga the artist even if we get the ‘sterile’ song or movie soundtrack. gaga the great american songbook cover singer just might need to pop in here and there too

 

i’m so glad HL blocked me on Instagram, now i don’t have to see her HL stories, and i don’t have to see those busted HL ads clogging up her artist page on IG lol

Can’t really compare debut streams now and in 2020, streaming keeps growing. It’s obvious “yes, and?” wasn’t a good pick and had an impact on her US streams. It’s a bummer, but she’ll do well long-term.

 

However, that’s also exactly why Gaga’s team can’t afford to mess up with her lead single again.
