I also think about it a lot and she did it at the age period 23-25 makes it even more impressive.

One of the most cohesive and creative albums ever. We truly need that energy back Hx1YSjS.gif

Hello, long-time lurker here, never planned on posting anything but here we are.

Who remembers their first time hearing Gaga?

For me, it was when I heard 'Just Dance' on the car radio. My mother had come to get me from my grandma's house and I heard that song playing and I was hooked instantly.

When we got home I searched for it on YouTube and found some other tracks from The Fame and I fell in total love with the album.

'The Fame' (album) wasn't released in my country until January 2009 and I went to get it on my own the day it was released. It was the first album I ever bought for myself (not with my own money being an unemployed child:ryan3:).

Ugh, I've loved her ever since. I won't lie and say the music has been of the same quality - BTW was her ultimate peak for me, although all of her studio albums have some beautiful gems. She'd have to do something really bad (like, idk, call for the destruction of all gays) for me to stop following her career.

I didn't even know that music artists went on tour until I found out she was performing on The Fame Monster Ball tour. I didn't get to go ti that as it was too late to get tickets but I've made sure to go to the main tours since the BTWB. Except the Joanne tour because that got cancelled :gaycat7:. I went to the Chromatica Ball (great album too) but I got too drunk and can't remember most of it (never again).

Rihanna and Beyoncé were my main 'IT GIRLS' before Gaga. Those 3 were the biggest and brightest stars for me growing up and still are. Love them all (and others too). Except Gaga has an extra special place in my heart.

So, where were you when you first heard Gaga? What's your first memory of her?

I agree with you. I hate the new era of music consumption. Years ago, eras lasted months, even years, and they were eventful and exciting. Now, everything is so fast. Almost everyone drops new music and disappears until the tour comes along. But it is what it is. We have to accept that.

I too miss the teasing and multiple singles before the album and promo singles and reveals of the track list and cover, but now everyone wants everything immediately as seen here:

I was 15 when I first heard just dance and asked my grandma if she could buy me the lady gaga alberm and I’ve been hooked since :eli:

To think that she started teasing BTW while on tour with TFM :rip:

She officially announced it five months before the lead was released—eight months before the album release. :clownny:

The good old days, but even the teasing was different back then. I remember all the snippets in the gagavisions, "Marry The Night" spelled with T9 on an analog phone and so much more :rip:

To be fair to that user, there's a difference between having a long, prosperous album era and teasing music too soon, if for example she knew nothing was coming this year or it wasn't coming until Q3 or Q4. Like how she was teasing ARTPOP in 2012.

True, the "teasing part" of the era was more structured back in the day. Today we have some pics on insta and that's it :rip:

Update from that Reddit user regarding the Chromatica Ball Film:

“Just a follow up… our schedule now has it for an April air date.”
