Sadly, looking at the calendar, Gaga has no Fridays in March. Selena (Interscope) is releasing on February 22nd, Camila (Interscope) is releasing on March 1st, Billie (Interscope) is probably releasing on March 15th. 

 

My only hope is that Interscope won't care and will make her release it anyway, but it's unlikely; they always wait at least a week between their artists' releases.

The only release we're not sure about is Billie's. But she's heavily rumored to be releasing soon, and she confirmed she would release after Ari. If her album is coming out on May 17th, it's only reasonable to expect the lead single next month.

 

The Weeknd is now also rumored to be releasing soon as well (+ a ft. with Taylor)

The only friends we have are Blade and RideOrDie. Blade was told "February" by his source, but I guess they changed plans. RideOrDie told us two days ago that "we would find out soon." But I don't know what it means because March is packed.

This is actually an issue, everyone release quickly and forget their song exist the next week. See Ariana’s lead.

Maybe Gaga should really wait for summer Late June/Early july to release her lead and album in Q4 like mid september? Her movie and album all could co exist. Even if she relesed now it would be overshadowed by multiple big acts releasing at the same time and big drops caused by TS album in april.

This narrative doesn't make sense imo. Ariana's song didn't stick, and that's why it's being forgotten; it it has nothing to do with other artists releasing music. The signs were all there during the first weekend, the song's performance never looked promising beyond peaks. If Gaga's song connects, it will connect regardless of other artists also releasing music, same thing if it doesn't. Other releases only matter in terms of peaks, and expecting more than a top 10 (or top 5 if we're lucky) peak from the lead single is unrealistic, so it makes no sense to delay because of a couple of other artist's are also releasing singles. 

Of course they wouldn't want to release Gaga's single on the same week as Taylor or Beyoncé's album drops, and the peak in the BB200 is also important to set the tone right for the era, but other than that what matters is longevity.

Actually i dont care about charts. I just want her music not to be overshadowed by some inorganic acts. 

I miss the good old times when artists used to release in Q4 , now they all hold their music until xmas terrorism over. Thats why this Q1 feels very very busy.  

 

Imo i love summer releases much better than Q1 ones.

I agree with you. I hate the new era of music consumption. Years ago, eras lasted months, even years, and they were eventful and exciting. Now, everything is so fast. Almost everyone drops new music and disappears until the tour comes along. But it is what it is. We have to accept that.

 

If she releases the album close to the movie, she will definitely neglect it. Her priority will be 100% the movie and the movie soundtrack. (She could be nominated for an Oscar because she is involved in the film's score.) So, I don't think it would be better than releasing it now. In one way or another, LG7 will, at best, get two months of attention. The closer it is to the movie, the worse it gets, imo.

If it is overshadowed it's because it most likely wasn't going to connect either way. We should manage our expectations, even while hoping for the best, these things are very unpredictable. Quality is the most important thing at this stage in her career, and I do believe it'll pay off long term, even if the results aren't felt immediately.
