November 10, 20232 yr comment_24856251 Regarding the narrative about ARTPOP, I think most of what surrounds this album and the way Gaga feels about it comes from fans assumptions. Of course it was a difficult time for her personally in private and public life which directly reflected on her healt and the fortunes of the era but that doesn't mean she wants or has to erase the album from her mind and existence. Most of her work comes from a place of pain as a way to heal or just scream, just look at Chromatica or joanne. Also if you remeber her interviews at the time she entered the era already saddened by the perception people had of her with BTW and how the message got twisted by who ended up being protestors. Her "forgetting" ARTPOP while revising past work for tours or performances just reflects the fact that as it didn't connect with most of the pubblic she would just give people what she thinks they'll like but still she honered ARTPOP in some occasions, coachella and enigma were all about artpop, it just depends on the audience she's talking to. For this time, as it is its 10th anniversary, something special for the fans and supporters of the album would've been a perfect way to celebrate.
