Daily streams could be better, definitely, and I'm sure they will go up in a couple years, but they are not as bad as you are saying. Also, who care if Rain On Me takes 3 years and half instead of 3 years to reach 1 billion ? The song already smashed, and has huge streams on YouTube (400m for a Western act in 2020 is incredible).

In the Chromatica stan universe, Chromatica is the album which defined the decade, would have had more longevity had she performed on SNL or Tonight Show.

 

ROM was initially a song that truly showed signs of being the smash of the summer, but ended up being disappointing on that front, it’s nothing to be ashamed of but once again, showed the potential for more and ended up being frontloaded. It’s not really about the quality of the song cause it’s a banger anyway

Also true. Its recurrent now are not as bad but it’s just the way it dived quick despite still being pushed on Spotify 

I was about to mention how she hasn't promoted Haus Labs in a long time but anyway...

I've been reflecting on Poker Face now that it's reached 1B on Spotify, and I think it's time for me to admit to myself that it's both my favorite Gaga song and favorite song period.

 

I still remember when I happened to listen to a snippet of it in late December 2008 when watching a preview of its music video on iTunes. I was shocked at how good it sounded and the video snippet had me gagged too, but I told myself I would wait to listen to it and watch it because I was still too much into Just Dance at the time after discovering it (and her) earlier that month. Then in early 2009 when I gave myself a full listen of it...I was beyond obsessed, listening to it ad nauseam for literally months — I remember most of February-April 2009 consisted of Poker Face on repeat for me. Even after countless listens, I would always get so excited hearing that iconic intro at parties or on the radio (and on that note, I feel like it's the song I've heard played the most on the radio in my area). To this day, I still get excited when I hear it out in public.

 

Poker Face has the best song intro of any song in my opinion. I love how that one synth that's consistent throughout most of the song changes notes slightly in the chorus, and how the way the chorus is layered actually makes it sound like an entirely different instrument/plugin. The backing vocals can't be spoken about highly enough and are my favorite of any song. The choreography is simple yet somehow my favorite choreo ever and I find myself doing bits and pieces of it randomly here and there throughout the day. It's also been the song I've gotten the most hyped to whenever I've seen her live. It's just...THE perfect song and I am proudly stating here that I have recognized it as my favorite song ever. 🫡
