I actually still believe that they were testing the waters with CBT. Since it worked for her, I can see them upgrading to bigger stadiums in some cities, doing more shows, and going all out with the production next time she has a big tour. I absolutely love the industrial aesthetic of the stage even though the view was restricted in many seats.

 

She also had a busy schedule and a big movie to prepare for so there was no way to extend it.

Yeah did they have deals with baseball stadiums or something... Chicago, Boston sold out in minutes but nah they prefer doing those

I don't know, part of me thinks that they weren't 100% confident in her touring power in the US tbh. Obviously, JWT did well but that was years ago and there was also the uncertainty and scariness of COVID. She can def upgrade to NFL stadiums in some big cities there with her next tour, it doesn't have to be like Taylor/Bey. They can also just avoid the places that ~struggled~ a bit next time.

Legend, it’s been said multiple times that it’s not about the kind of release she’s preparing but that 1. she’s a member of sag, 2. the said release is most probably planned to be put on either of the streaming giants that are in fact very much a part of the strike (Netflix, Disney, HBO etc), the ceo’s of those platforms and their actions are one of the primary reasons behind the strike of the sag members, one of whom is none other than Lady Gaga. Knowing her, she’s most probably hesistant to do this, like she was hesistant to do promo for Godmatica while the pandemic was going on.

It was also confirmed by SAG rules that music projects are completely unrelated to the strikes.
If she was smart about this, she would release the project and donate portion of the profits to the strike fund or whatever. At this point just scrap the freaking special and move on to LG7 era, it's been over 3 years...
