i think the song would have bennefited  from some quiet moments, is sounds like she is belting during the whole thing :rip:

The song perfectly incapsulates the feeling of being in a top gun hanger and having to burst out with emotion to be heard. Imagine jets whirling by and landing on the strip. You have everyone giving commands to your in ear radio. Then you notice Tom, sweaty and unrobing his uniform in front of you. He seemingly doesn’t notice you until your eyes finally meet. He nudges you with a slight push and asserts his dominance as he puts down his gear. He grabs your arm and teases you that you’ve been working out. Startled, you quickly turn and brush him off, not wanting the base to know your secret. As you walk away, you feel his hand grab on to you, jutting you back into the corner of the hanger, where Tom confesses everything he has felt since he first laid eyes on you.

THAT is Hold My Hand, a cultural reset, a moment of gay rights in the military, everything you’ve wanted, but never expected . God bless America.

The melody when she's singing "but if you decide to, I'll ride in this life with you, I won't let go till the end" :jonny:

Best part of the song. For a second, it gave me ASIB teas. :jonnycat:

Second listen and wow it just hits! The performance at the CBT will be massive

Is it too early to discuss how Always Remember Us This Way is her best ballad song? The melody. The production. The lyrics. Literally a 10/10. Whew.

She'll never top it

I think my problem with it is that the chorus isn't very catchy, the production is fine (BP is still going to hell for that intro), nothing groundbreaking but it does the job, but I just can't get into the Melody, it ain't bad but it's not very memorable in my opinion.

On 5th listen and this is great. Besides for the unnecessary intro, my only complaint is that the first chorus is a bit too loud. I hope it resonated with the public though (but I doubt it, they tend to like quiet ballads, i.e. Adele's whole career).

She topped it twice alone on the ASIB soundtrack.

Lbr, this won't come anywhere near Shallow's GARGANTUAN success. That song was like the perfect storm and that kind of acclaim and success comes once in a generation. So anyone who thinks this is the next Shallow, is just delulu, despite the fanbase's initial reactions.

That said, this WILL be a hit. For sure. Midwest and MAGA moms are waiting for this to be served on a platter and gobble it all up.

this is definitely a grower, which’ll definitely help in streams unlike her recent songs that were a one shot go
