It has one last chance next week... let's hope that it will peak in top 40

If it wasnt for this trashy leftover, Bloody Mary would be #40 last week instead of #41.

BM’s longevity is insane. It just stays there.

Rain On Me started with crazy promising updates until the first callouts appeared.

I remember when she surpassed Waterlemon Sugar like she’s in top of her game. Everyone was %100 sure its going #1.

it’s actually crazy how wildly different rain on me was received in the US vs U.K.  that song was inescapable here :rip:

BM's longevity is very impressive, both on radio and on Spotify. The fact that it has naturally stabilized at 1M daily long after the trend died with virtually no playlisting support and still getting positive radio updates >>>

Its callouts are also good, which I do think is partially a result of how well it has resonated with younger audiences as @Mr. Stratus has said earlier.

Imma have to ask for full radio update from you. We got a +98 spins today on pop. But i need bullets as well.

It should tell us a new story for next week.

had ROM been Ariana’s main single, it would’ve definitely gotten further radio payola push. another part is Interscope are already known to not blatantly payola songs 24/7 on radios, which is why they tend to drop songs immediately the moment they see bad callouts instead of giving it a chance

2020 was truly a different market in US.

Most of the summer hits were HipHop Rap songs.

Such as: Say So and Nicki Remix, Megan Thee Savage and Beyonce Remix, Rockstar, WAP. Later the year we had Levitating remix with Da Baby.

So after all very few pop songs benefit from it and ROM wasnt one of them.

I just stated a fact, it did pretty bad on callouts. You may not like it, that's fine. ROM was a big pop collab with radio darling Ariana and it still didn't get enough Pop radio airplay. Those are the facts.

As for "exposure", it's a song released in 2020 complete with streaming push. At its peak, it had a playlisting reach of 245M (vs 75M for BM, almost a third). Are you really trying to insinuate that the exposure that BM got "thanks to Wednesday" (a show that it wasn't even featured on and caught on out of nowhere) was greater than a song plastered on every Spotify playlist including TTH, Hot Hits alongside a full album release campaign? Please :skull:

Idk why are you assuming I don’t like what you’re saying, lol. I’m also only stating the facts, dear sis. ROM did bad on callouts just like most of Lady Gaga singles in recent memory.

And no, I’m not trying to insinuate anything, I’m stating the facts - the exposure that came from Wednesday/viral dance was much bigger than any and every Spotify playlisting a song can get and I’m honestly surprised you, out of all people, are unaware of that or ignoring that.

„The show dominated Netflix viewership stats, becoming the most-watched English television series in its first week with 341.2 million hours.”

This alone is huge. Then there was the dance that used BM as a sound which went crazy viral. There’s not many viral trends like this one and whatever you were trying to do with ROM comparison was just silly. Lol.

Totally another thing is that BM nicely stabilized around 1M daily which is something totally amazing and unexpected and we should be greateful for that because the drought that is coming our way…

yeah Interscope was the one to blame, also I remember it leaving TTH in September when it was still doing better than Stuck With U and that one stayed on TTH for months

Rain On Me could have done more weeks if they wanted, they simply let it die and rot

its recurrent are bad tho

A lot of non-sequiturs that don't necessarily disprove or negate anything that I said but sure. Let's just also completely ignore the fact that the trend has died down months ago, that its streams are much more stable despite low playlisting support and that it's current position on H100 has absolutely nothing to do with radio support because of listeners responding positively to it.

No, I agree.  The trend died, the song stayed and this is amazing.

The fact that even tho it was part of the Wednesday franchise which skews to a younger demographic, that it blew up on tiktok, and it was like her first ever song where Spotify was the clear dominating format it was still on shaky ground on the US Pop format in the past week :rip:

Im glad things have been continuing to change, i just hope they keep callouts like they are. Meghan, Taylor, and now Gaga don't have to be resigned to the HAC format  :clap3:

The way radio listeners repeatedly said NO to BloodPop and YES to talent (DJWS).

That gif :deadbanana2:

DJWS could produce Enigma but could bloodpop do Electric Chapel?

Not you putting Meghan with Taylor and Gaga. :rip:

Nicki Beyonce and britney too.

They would not have had gotten this far on pop radio format in the USA, so it is big change.

Gays won? LG7 dark sinner of s*x era  with proper promo?

It shows when she’s not either screaming or competing with loud production, she can still have a radio hit.

Makes me think of Paparazzi, Alejandro, etc. She began struggling when she shifted to sounds like MTN, Stupid Love, and Perfect Bomb.

Also confirms that DIC and Sexxx Dreams would’ve been radio smashes. :gaycat4:

I want LG7 lead single to sound like this but with a GaGa twist

Ooops i totally forgot its ARTPOP’s 10th anniversary this year :WAP:

Is it just me i prefer ARTPOP ACT2 with brand new single instead of LG7 this year?

I agree with the sentiment but both Bloody Mary and Dancin' In Circles have screaming. :gaycat4:  Dancin' In Circles was low-key accidentally trendy though, if ever there was a time for her to remix a single with another artist it was DIC summer 2017. It would have done better than The Cure and given Businesswomanne better recurrents.

Oh bloody Mary needs to go top 40 on hot 100. It's more important than the top 10 position on pop radio for me . 7 top 40 hits on hot 100 from the same album..the last female albums who had 7 (or more) top 40 hits were 'Red' and 'Sour' ..

Midnights occupied like the whole top 10 of hot 100

You know what I meant, sis! They have singalong parts that aren’t yelling. :gaycat3: That = radio hit for Miss Lady.

(I love myself some loud tunes, MTN is epic, just not going to be big on pop. :giraffe: )
