The Oscars are like the only awards left that have some sort of hype. And still ultra prestigious. This ain't the Grammys, b+tches.

The Oscars were exciting for the gays last year because of how unpredictable the Best Actress race was. At first, it seemed like KStew was the frontrunner, but her campaign tanked after she was snubbed by the SAG. Then, Kidman emerged as the frontrunner, but she didn't make it to the BAFTA nomination list. Gaga briefly emerged as the frontrunner after her BAFTA nomination, but she didn't even get nominated (which was truly shocking, a massive L). The entire race was such a roller coaster. 

This year, it is obvious that queen Cate Blanchett is taking it. It's another "Blue Jasmine" situation when she swept absolutely everything in 2013.
