Filtered streams is what Spotify uses for their charts to determine daily positions and unfiltered is what you see on your Spotify app on desktop aka the counter beside each song, which is used to calculate an artists total streams count.

 

So these rankings, for example:

are all calculated by adding up all the unfiltered streams since we only have access to those for an artist's entire catalog.

 

These:

 

are all unfiltered streams.

 

Meanwhile these:

are all filtered streams that we see on the Spotify Charts website.

I kinda agree when it comes to songs I love and play on loop like - these are legit spotify!

 

But I imagine it is hard to track the difference between BoTS putting a song on loop all day in the background inflating streams. There is just too many fraud fanbases out there...

They have a limit - 20 streams per account I think. But yeah, that kinda sucks

 

It still counts towards the song's total streams just not for the charts though, so you can still loop if you like it!

I have a strong feeling that DWUW could have been such an easily trending song with a high chance of going viral time and time again. It’s super catchy and still sounds fresh. How shameful that the song is associated with the predator himself.

Ever since her streams went up after ASIB, I think DWUW could be doing at least 250k daily. It's really a shame.  

 

But it is for the better, the collab is still her biggest career mistake. I know she had no bad intentions, and I'm glad people know this too, but she was so clueless.
