score is unlikely w TGM, better chance w J:FAD, plus she’ll also likely score another BOS nom w the movie especially now that musical component’s are confirmed, moreso that we gonna get og songs

the nomination process for both branches are completely different. tho yes, it might hurt her when it comes to final voting, presuming she gets multiple nods for J:FAD ala ASIB

The interludes might be spliced in digitally like in the Rep Tour video, doesn’t need to be filmed

yes and no. in terms of nominations, doubt it’ll have any effect since music & acting branch have completely different nomination processes. but when it comes to final voting, if she gets double or even triple nommed w Joker, similar to what happen w ASIB, then voters may feel inclined to reward her in just one category even if she gives her all time best performance

I don't think it will hurt her chances of being nominated for BA, but it would hurt her chances of winning

They didn't confirm that tho, just that the sequences come from Harley's mind in context

 

They didn’t show most of the interludes in the Monster Ball special (I believe for the sake of the special’s length) so if they same thing happens I won’t be surprised

as if Gar isn’t gonna have some input on J:FAD’s soundtrack, there’s def gonna be original material, gotta maximize the amount of awards hype as well 

 

They better not pull a Monster Ball HBO Special and cut the interludes, they're essential to the show and one of the best parts. Of course this is me bravely assuming anything is actually released

Not when she had no chance in BA for ASIB because everyone knew she was winning Original Song.

 

I could see her working on the score, but original songs don't feel like a given to me. Everything for them would've needed to be done months ago.

again its a musical, no way she’s not involved w the songs and unless she’s singing some random jazz covers, she’s probably already worked up some original song(s) already. plus these days w barely know a quarter of the stuff she’s been working on aside from the meth lab spamming 

 

How does one live with a family that only thinks of you as a crazy druggie even though you're climbing your 17th week being clean off meth lol.

For the same movie, probably, but her winning BOS again for TGM will have zero bearing on what happens with JFAD.

 

The fact that we're even having this conversation shows how powerful she is and how far she's come. We're literally talking about her only being able to win one type of Oscar instead of two. Insane.

Regardless, WB/DC absolutely wouldn't have greenlit an arthouse psycho-musical unless they knew exactly what was going on with the musical aspects. including at least a few polished demos if they were doing original music. Some proof of concept would have been presented in great detail. And this all would've happened like beginning of the year if not earlier. Not saying some sort of original music is impossible, but Gaga starring in a musical doesn't automatically mean we're getting new original music.
