I’m tired of the narrative that Bloodpop is some kind of demon and all of Chromatica’s flaws are thanks to him. At the end of the day it’s Gaga who calls the shots and if she wanted the album to be less 90’s house and more 10’s royalty free YouTube music then so be it.

Like… he even enlisted dozens of artists to remix Chromatica just to please the whiny fans, and y’all are still ungrateful. I don’t necessarily love his productions or think he’s her greatest producer by any means, but he’s decent enough to not deserve all this hate.

Bloodpop did Million Reasons which was one of her most stable hits in years, and one of her best ballads.

It's pretty well known that he came in towards the end of the production process just to make things a little more synthetic/pop friendly. He can hardly be credited for actually writing the music/lyrics with her, it's clearly not the case:

It's like how Fernando Garibay "produced" Bloody Mary when we all know damn well that was 100% DJWS. :dies:

Highly doubt he had any involvement in the 1000 Doves demo since Gaga talked about writing it on her piano then Bloodpop coming to make it more upbeat, executive producers usually get credits on every song in the albums they executively produced

Sis, it takes 15 seconds to Google and to know that it was Gaga and BloodPop who created most of the songs and then presented them to other producers. It was Tchami who turned 1000 Doves from a ballad to what it is.

tbh I'm not a big fan of his production, a lot of it doesn't age well and comes off rather generic so i hope he isn't involved with the song. that being said the meltdowns over a harmless tweet are:eli:.

Gaga's not going to do a Chromatica-like song for a big movie, so we can pretty much guarantee it'll be more ASIB and less Chromatica.

It's unfair to say the album is more 10s royalty free Youtube music lol. Only Free Woman and (slightly) 1000 Doves fit that sound. Sine From Above is 90s trance with a drum n bass finale, 911 is a 2000s electrobop, Stupid Love is more late 80s to early 90s, Sour Candy could have been released in the early 90s, Replay is a modern disco song with a few house elements, Babylon is pure late 80s house music and Fun Tonight is more 2000s sounding with a bit of 10s.

No, Gaga had ideas and wrote some songs, then they recorded demos together - Gaga and Bloodpop, then they presented the demos to other producers that were involved and that’s how Chromatica happened.

Do I have to write this on every single post here? Like..

All the producers on Chromatica equally don't match Gaga's talent and expertise. BP shouldn't be singled out.

With that said Chromatica is still solid, let's stop complaining. I just hope she works with better people in the future, simply cuz of how big of a legend she is.

I'm pretty sure Gaga wrote the entirety of the 1000 Doves demo by herself lol. It doesn't sound like anything Bloodpop had done before and it's 100000% classic Gaga piano ballad. Let's stop acting like Bloodpop made the entirety of the album and Gaga had zero creative control when we all know, that except for recycled songs she writes all the lyrics and most of the melody

Again, it takes seconds to Google actual facts instead of going with what you’re sure about and what not. Also I’ve never said BloodPop wrote 1000 Doves.

And you misinterpreted what I’ve said. I never said BP did Chromatica by himself. It’s clear Gaga was a leading force, as usual

I was exaggerating, I personally have no issue with the album’s production outside of Free Woman and 1000 Doves as you mentioned. Those two are the blandest on the record for me, the rest are solid. A little on the safer side, but solid nevertheless.

Chromatica is great, but Gaga is in her thirties now and we should have higher standards for her output. Free Woman and Fun Tonight are cute, but they are way below what Gaga is capable of doing.

Free Woman is fantastic, but yeah the production is literally... not what Gaga should be doing in the 2020s.

I agree with u! But I needed to defend FW cuz it's one of my fav chroma songs :jonny5:

What’s wrong with a 30 something woman writing a song like Free Woman? Are you serious? Lol

:rip:

Anyway imagine if Gaga flies with a Jet with Tom Cruise in the HMH music video...  a viral SMASH if that's the case nn :eli:

It’s fine, but the production was not up to her usual standards. The demo was objectively the stronger song.

Chromatica has Gaga's best lyrics of all time and songs like 911, Replay and Sine From Above are masterclasses in writing poetry

Agreed

The demo should have stayed on the album, yes. It’s

unfortunate that Gaga’s and BloodPop version didn’t stick and Khlar changed it to what it is.

all this bloodpop talk :deadbanana2:

if gaga wanted him on her side then shut up please :coffee2:

Y’all shut up and prepare your Spotify premium accounts so she can snatch her next Top 10. Ain’t got time for bickering :giraffe:
