When she didn't have a #1 for 9 years after Born This Way I still had hope she'd have a #1. I truly believe and then she had the most unexpected smash hit with Shallow and then a couple years later got her 5th #1 with Rain on Me. But now I legit do not see a way in which she can score another #1 in the US. Sales have plumeted, radio does not touch her and she is not the type to collab with anyone for a quick hit. At this point I legit think 5 #1s is where she is capping at in the US. Globally she likely will get more but in the US I think this is it and tbh 5 is more than enough. Her only having 3 #1s would have been tragic tbh but ever since Shallow & Rain on Me got her a 4th and 5th #1 I was completely satisfied with that level of singles success. Now if she can score more top 10s with longevity that would be awesome tbh.
