I honestly mean it when I say promo is not the priority right now and I'm actually side-eying almost all of this base for that.

 

We're in the most dire position Western Civilization has been post-USSR's collapse and I'm frankly tired of ya'll complaining about ******* "promo" when YOU ALL KNOW where Kelly came from. A worker class position.

I'm obviously fired up at the moment but I honestly get where most of base is coming from. I do.

 

You guys don't understand why the multiple strikes happening at the same time (railroads, TV and now film guilds) is affecting Atlantic's ability to promote 'chemistry' in the media. (It's partly why you see Kelly promoting her album in the public spaces in recent social media space). Society at this moment is regressing almost a hundred years in propaganda and along with it, worker rights (just look at how child labor and abortion laws are being rolled back in at least six states from my last count).

 

Kelly 1000% deserves every minute moment of us discussing her best moments and why but I cannot get past why you all refuse to acknowledge the danger of our political climate. I promise you, as a Native American, this is a crucial juncture that won't stop at just women or gays. I honestly hope I'm wrong for the next thirty years but history tends to repeat itself at a time where we're experiencing the next economical crisis. (Great Depression, anyone?). The microaggression in the last 8 years is why I'm so concerned with ya'll being obsessed with promo when civil liberties are being eroded to a point when you won't be able to do a thing. 

 

I don't know, man. Maybe it is because being a Native American is why I'm not obsessed with promo is why I can't relate but I promise you it is a distraction. (Also because it bothers me I'm not as obsessed with Marvel since Endgame? Aptly named I guess? lmao).

I’m not from the states so I don’t get the reason for the strike but I will read up on it 

Lauren Daigle is on Atlantic and released her album a little bit before Kelly and had a similar roll out and they even tried to do the flash mob with her (not sure how that went) but she has a deluxe album coming out with a different album cover and 10 additional songs on it coming sept 8th. So maybe Kelly will be shortly after that.

Omg. This is so crazy.

 

I was JUST fantasizing about them releasing a deluxe version with song titles that are in CAPS.

 

I mean she did write 60 songs so there has to be a few gems still left in her vault.

Possibly, but she'd have to return to the studio. She only recorded 18 songs for chemistry, but I'm pretty sure those other four songs are coming out sooner or later.

 

I feel like maybe they’ll release the live Belasco tracks as part of the Deluxe album (with the “missing” 3/4 songs from chemistry)

 

Re-release the 14 tracks already released + the unreleased ones + live Belasco tracks... Which could be why they haven’t uploaded the rest of the songs from Belasco on YouTube. 
 

or it could all just be wishful thinking from me. 😆

Breaking news: Mine has (by 1 spin) reached #10 on the HAC radio chart. A top 10 smash, y’all!!!!

 

We need to celebrate the successes no matter how small these days.

Honestly, that is great. It's really hard for songs to go top 10 on HAC without getting crossover airplay for some other format anymore. The days of HAC radio sending songs that only do well on HAC/AC to the top have been over for half a decade now.

It’s currently #10 on Hot AC and AC! AC is usually way behind so this is cool to see her in the top 10 on both!

Super happy about this. Going top 10 on two/three of her core formats +20 years in is a great accomplishment.

 

Now they should just send it to pop; cuz now pop stations will be more likely to play it due to it’s success on hac/ac formats.
