Song has always been a snoozefest. Boring vocals and even more boring production. Her solo version >>>>>

Weirdly in the past few months dyws has gained a lot on Spotify recurrent streams (around 30k daily meaning it’ll end 2023 with 90m and at current pace will reach 100m by end of 2024)

 

with the aldean and Miranda lambert drama recently I wonder if Kelly will say anything at all when she’s in vegas. I can imagine something tongue and cheek for both but mind you she might just wanna stay out of any drama

I’m still a bit surprised we haven’t had a little indication of whether we’ll have a single for the residency - would kinda make sense to have one and then push it in the (predicted) September promo as that’d match radio.

I hope not just because I don’t think it makes sense following mine/me, but it could very well be. I know a lot of people are blown away by it, so that’s a positive. Personally I actually always skip it but tbh I don’t actually listen to many of her “singles” so idk haha

Deluxe if I remember @jpsketch you said she only recorded 16 songs originally?? Maybe she done more over the summer 🤔

I wonder what the plan is? Push a single from the deluxe in the autumn, then SCYHM for Xmas and something post Xmas?

Also based on dailies, we’re looking at a ballpark figure of 85m Spotify streams by year end. Hopefully the deluxe and a post summer push takes it up considerably. Seems like album tracks are faring okay compared to MoL and previous eras, but a single (even one as big as B&B) is kinda needed in order to get the era to a decent streaming point. The sales of the physicals and iTunes digital was encouraging though

A somewhat conservative aim for all songs by year end on Spotify (without a push for a single or rerelease) based on their current dailies (which have somewhat stabilised post release) would be:

Jason Halbert did an interview with the miss independepodcast and mentioned it.  They were asking him about his favorite tracks on the album and he said one of them will be on the deluxe album coming out in the fall.
