Journalists that work for People and Rolling Stones were invited to the listening party. She really wants that green score on metacritic this time.

Well, personally I wouldn't hype up my lead to be an anthem for the summer if it's gonna be released towards the end of the season, but idk

It's not so much Katy & Gaga themselves, but do you guys think their teams/labels are trying to recreate another 2013 Roar vs Applause situation? Those years brought a lot of unnecessary drama & toxicity from both bases , & it will again if it happens, BUT from a marketing perspective it can bring attention to both singles & albums. They're not in the prime they were back in 2013 and this can help.

I was thinking that, because repeating everything that happened back then, if I were Katy or Gaga I wouldn't want to relive that.

Isn't Capitol under Interscope? I doubt they would wanna risk one outshining the other, but it's true that both benefitted from having their announcements so close to each other imo. 

Yeah it's gonna be Gaga vs Katy again but I think it'll be fun and playful this time around. But LG7 has to be coming August at the latest. KP6 could be September.

Random thought, but can someone explain the point of an album listening session? It definitely doesn't affect the tracklist cause they're very close to the album, does it make a difference in single selection or something? The listeners aren't allowed to talk about the songs of course, so it can't be a promo for the fans. Or are they just there as a fun way for artists to connect with a few fans and energize the fanbase a little?

apparently the listening party to journalists happened yesterday and there was another one tonight that was for fans only.
