Also, the rollout of every studio album era has been meticulous and well managed.

The first 3 were solid for obvious reasons. But even 4, which suffered from a whole host of execution problems, was at least well sequenced. Beyoncé and Lemonade had to be coordinated way in advance because of their Apple and HBO partnerships.

I don’t see why Renaissance, which is two straight years in the making, would have any issues. She’s probably just trying something different. But you know that **** is planned. She is a VIRGO.

I mean, this is the lady who brought her own cameras to Coachella. And filmed an entire documentary to release for the next year. :bibliahh:

If she don’t release a video for BMS before album drop, it’ll be because she didn’t want to. Not cause she didn’t have a vision for it while making the song or because she lacked the will to execute. She can be arrogant yes, but she’s not lazy or unorganized.

I don’t think anyone has an issue with the album drops. For 4, after RTW had mixed reception they kind of threw whatever single out that was “safe”.  For Beyoncé and Lemonade it’s how the eras were handled AFTER the album released. They held formation for so long, there was no reason to not release it after the album was already out. They waited until it finally peaked at #10 when it was literally guaranteed #1 after the super bowl. Ignoring hold up to push sorry???? Both singles ended up being stifled and the general public was confused. The album was brilliant however outside the initial release a lot of her songs didn’t get the just due they deserved and most likely hurt her AOTY chances. Plus not releasing lemonade on streaming for over two years. :deadbanana: At this point who knows what will happen with Renaissance.

Maybe Bey having too much control isn’t the answer. She is the artist and should have creative control. However the marketing and strategy :jonnycat:

I had just listened to Suga Mama and was still coming down from the high

But yeah, BEYONCÉ is still her best.

I don’t see her dropping the video that close to the album…it will eclipse the event.

Especially if there is a visual component to the album as a whole. The only thing I see is her releasing the video as a “preview” to the film the night of release, like she did with “Already” the night BIK dropped.

which begs the question…what are her plans for the visuals…

it's time for us to accept that there are no visuals :(

the 28 page booklet is just lyrics :(

Fans better stream the hell out of it album week and not ignore it for the newer songs

If there is a song that is a little more RnB/soul leaning, I doubt it. BMS will not be able to compete long, the radio should help a bit but we'll see.

Also I keep hearing that the withholding is for the points to count for the album, I doubt she thinks about charts like that. But even so, the bigger the song is before the album, the highest the points when the album drops. Blinding Lights is a perfect example.

Anyway, we only  have 12 days to go. :duca:

Not necessarily. Crazy In Love was done the night before the album was due. The original first single was gonna be Naughty Girl.

With the album drop, radio, and video - it looks like Break My Soul will be #1 on album release week - which ultimately is what we all want.

Honestly I'm not too concerned with any single being No.1 but I do want the era to have the best chance of success, which is why I'm kind of hoping she gives another single a chance to smash in album launch week. Especially as BMS is highly unlikely to do it in the US. The streams are just not there compared to somewhere like the UK where the song has really resonated with the GP

Netflix has given no indication that she’s debuting anything on their platform, but doesn’t she have a deal with Netflix?

Why would they give it away?

Their first tease of homecoming was straight from Bey's team (via Netflix) & less than 2 weeks from release

Seriously what was the strategic genius behind hiding the formation video and not releasing it on iTunes or streaming? Everything they do isn’t the right decision and it doesn’t seem like they have learned. The art will always speak for itself, just let the music and rollout do what it’s supposed to do by releasing it the right way.

For her it was a statement, I don't think there was anything genius about tbh but when you get caught up in your own pretentious narratives....

:giraffe:

She could of just made it a public charity single

Imagine she accidently voided her Netflix contract/funfing by producing BIK for Disney+ :dies:

Not Beyoncé trending and me thinking she’s released the video.

Do you know what, I’m just going to take some sedatives to put my out until the 29th because I can’t do this anymore.

I never expected 29k vinyls to sell out quickly, especially at the price point she has it at. But it will sell out.

My mother texted me to tell me that she heard BMS 4 times on the radio this morning. She was changing the stations and it kept coming on.

I think she said it in exasperation more than anything but a win is a win.
