The Vogue photoshoot was done back in April. Confirmed by the editor. That album cover probably around the same time also. That's all we have as visuals from her this era. Name me ONE era of hers that started like this. NONE.

Me personally I’d rather BMS and the video have its own time to shine apart from the album release. I feel like this era isn’t giving what it was suppose to give out the gate. I mean come on it’s called Renaissance and the song is literally called “break my soul” during a hectic time in the summer. Should be slaying. . It’s odd they didn’t have a video day 1.

Dropping a video once the album comes out makes the video for the single pointless. The fans will be focused on the entire album by then and undoubtedly find the second single the better one and run with it. 

 

Its sorta laughable that the yes men around her havent told her how OUT OF TOUCH her old ass is becoming.

The only other logical reason would be that she has a visual album dropping the same day but then to distract people from just listening to the body of work first is another form of self sabotage so i refuse to believe this and a visual album is not an excuse to not release a music video with your single.

You didn’t hear this from me but I was strolling though LA and while I was walking my dog I saw Jay, he was carrying a wheelchair into a recording studio. Are we getting Renaissance deluxe edition bonus tracks?

Regardless of ThE aBuNdAnCe Of MaTeRiAl that's due in ThReE wEeKs, it was objectively STUPID and DUMB to build hype for the new era with a succession of crumbs, hints, easter eggs, social media shenanigans, topped off by a career-highlight magazine editorial only to follow that hype with several weeks' worth of dead silence, invisibility, inactivity. It killed the pre-album mood dead in its tracks. With the exception of the album cover reveal (Ha!), everything exciting about the Renaissance era so far came before the release of the lead single.  

Literally all she had to do was post ONE Tik Tok with a HINT of what the video would be and at least allow fans to remix it and let it go viral.

naur it's true, it's true. it's uneventful and the girls in here telling us we should be "grateful" because it's widely accessible on streaming and got an album cover. the absolutely bare minimum, just spread over 6 weeks. the bar is in hell right in satan's asscrack.

most people irl that I know are still looking forward to her album. she’s always elusive, so it’s not really anything new to non-hive.

 

she’s an albums artist. She always has been. When the album drops the hype will intensify.
